Get the carbs balanced - it's a common problem - Bandits and GSX - F models suffer from the same symptoms.

Might be better if you just carried on riding it. We have had decent enough days over the winter to justify getting out for the odd run here n there. I've manged to run in me new Gixxer since I got it late November - over 1000 miles on now & ready to go.

Hi Stu Unlikely to be carb icing if the plugs are black & sooty. That points to a rich mixture, whereas if the carbs ice up it stops the flow of fuel from the jets. (Weak mixture & pale colour plugs) I had a bandit a good few years ago that gradually started to feel a bit rough around the edges. The carbs were way out of balance - try that first. It's a common thing with bandits & made a world of difference to mine. Check the choke linkages aren't sticking too !

This ride has been passed to me by a fellow bike rider who works for Darlington Police. I don't know if it's a 'Police' organised ride, but I am certain they will not be trying to catch anyone out during the ride. We'll do a Kielder run across to Longtown - Brampton area sometime Chicane - meet up with you that way somewhere. St Mary's Loch is a nice route, dont want you being left out.
