  1. I nearly had the same when i first got the bike. Forgot that garages normally only put enough fuel in the tank to get to the closest fuel pumps. Theres me chugging down the A1 when the light comes on. Thank god for google maps om phone id have been stranded in some random country village. Found a small petrol station. That was an experience for my first time on a 600

  2. Does anyone know how much fuel i have left when the petrol light comes on. Not sure why suzuki didnt put a fuel guage on the bike its a bit of a gamble guessing how much i have left in the tank.


    When it first comes on how many miles roughly do i have left when riding conservstively.

  3. I did the same thing as you, no lessons and found the test simple to be fair. I have been driving for years tho so that helped and riding for 2 yrs. The examiner is lookong for safety on the road, positioning and observations. As well as following the law. He followed behind me and tried to get up on the inside of me at turnings to see if i noticed etc. But mostly it was a nice 45min ride around with directions like a sat nav.


    I was flippin Nervous tho wont deny that

  4. need to do theory test first. Then get some practice in. I passed my tests without any lessons just day to day riding through town.


    To practice the mod 1 stuff I went to a quiet car park at the weekend and just tried wheeling my bike between bays, U-turn between two bays and then practice emergency stop at a slowish speed.

  5. dont give them the chance to use any of them to fail you if you can. If you think you have made a lifesaver do another quick one even if its a quick glance do it.


    Leaving your indicators on starts off as a minor and then progresses up the seriousness the longer its left on - if you hear the examiner say "Indicators" then you can probabaly bet you may fail but as some others have said on here, they have had examiner shouting at them down the mic only to find out at the end of the test they got 2 minors and passed. You may find the examiner realises your nervous so tells you off so you think F**** it ive failed and thats when you seemingly drive faultless.


    and the looking over the shoulders i thought were your lifesavers so again do them. Just make it a force of habit.

  6. When I did it on my 125 I could tell when I was at a good enough speed due to the high pitched engine noise lol.


    Maybe try and listen for a certain engine noise at that speed that you can refer too, as I said above my 125 had a very distinct noise in 3rd gear that I could use to know what speed I was at.


    Just be in a low enough gear coming out of the corner that can pick up speed quickly to high a gear and you will struggle to get up to speed.

  7. i know im already thinking that LOL.


    But i use my 125 everyday for my journey to the train station which is a 6 mile ride through town. A tank of petrol lasts me a month. So for cost saving its amazing and free to park at the station.


    I have already started looking at daytona 675's lol and thinking about having the restrictor fitted.


    I did the A2 licence as I felt confident on my R125 and sorta knew id be ok on the test with it.


    It was bliss taking my L plates of my bike. Im sure the two years will go quickly tho and if not I could buy a bigger bike and have it restricted.
