  1. I tried music in my helmet years ago . I just can't do it . In fact I struggle to walk safety down a street with ear phones .

I tour with the same blokes every year. We all ride at roughly the same pace. One year I was leading and kept losing the guy following directly behind me. I was getting a wriggle on but nowhere near fast enough for him to not keep up. When we eventually stopped for a break I asked him if I was going faster than normal and why he was so far behind. He replied that he'd been listening to music and the distraction was affecting his riding. Moral of the story as far as I'm concerned: Don't distract yourself with music. He doesn't listen to music now

  2. They charge you to park in hospitals now Fro?

They have charged for a long time in the UK. We spent a fortune when my mum was going through Chemo.

Walsgrave Hospital Coventry , and this is from 2016 ! Bloody criminal .

I was unfortunate enough to spend a month in Kings Hospital London a few years ago, parking for visitors was £2.00 an hour!

  3. Had them on a Street Triple, easy enough to fit. Fitted them and a tail tidy when I first got the bike. A year later I put the originals back on. They both looked great but I got fed up of getting a wet arse and couldnt see much behind me :D

    I'm getting old :(

  4. I've bought new and second hand. My first point of looking is always second hand on fleabay, if I cant find what I want there then I look for new. Like the others say, I wouldn't buy a second hand helmet though, just in case it had ever been dropped.

I've got leathers and textiles, If I could only have one I'd probably choose textiles because they are more versatile. Choose some that are multi season, removable liners that sort of thing. And get the best you can afford, you really do get what you pay for.

  5. Buy a cheap second hand 125 and ride it until you're 19 then get a decent bigger bike. At the end of the day the 125 is only ever going to be a transition bike until you can get onto something bigger and you'll get bored of it quicker than you think and want something bigger, so why get anything other than a cheap one?
