  10. Laugh now and get it over with When i bought my bike the previous owner (a motorbike mechanic) said tht on some odd occasios both cylinders wuldnt fire up but by takin the spark plug out, giving it a wipe and it would fire up the cylinder tht wasnt fired. (This happened when we was there viewin the bike and it did indeed work) Went to go out today and bike wasnt starting.. hmmm wasnt turnin over even with choke. Jst the electircal start motor could be heard soo though hmm ill check the plugs! Heres where i hit the problem.. on takin it off i obviously dont know my own strngth but it snapped :/ With the bit under the screw nut still in the hole How the heck do i get this out without getting anything in the cylinder? Any help appreciated Josh x
  11. update: Bike is now rideable speedo has been changed over! throttle cable changed over! rev couunter we have hit a problem, the previous owner has cut off the old tacho wire instead off taking it out (due to the screw being all mashed up) but no biggy there. Went on a lil ride today bike feels 1000x times better, smoother, even faster hehe. Even dad had a go and noticed the difference! Thanks for all the help! Josh x

  15. Yeah my bike seems to be a wierd one when i talk to most people bout it, but i guess comes with the age of it. The Rev counter .. not as of yet.. the clocks tht were on there when i got the bike the previous owner put them on and he said he hadnt got the cable to connect but all it needs is a cable. im lookin at buying a manual for it soo will let you know lookin at the engine i may have found where it might go in, and my dad said i could use his cable if needed and provoiding it would work (1981 XJ550 seca any ideas whether it would?) Thanks Bill i have day off tomorow would take a look jst didnt want to brake anything much appreciated both of yous Josh x
