  1. I had my number plate stolen a couple of days ago, reported to police and now got a replacement but have heard about some anti-theft number plate screws, are they worth it ?? anyone recommend any, had a quick look on amazon and found some says they are for motorbikes but thought I check on here to see if its worth it or not.

Whatever you chose to do, consider putting a small sticker or piece of insulation tape on one corner of your new plate, not to distort any letters but to make it noticeable if caught on a CCTV or anpr camera. So if you get a ticket come through you can show it's not your plate, often the advice police give.

As said most likely placed on a similar bike for the commission of crime.

Out of interest has your bike been recently purchased or any pictures of it on social media with ur number plate on display?

Oh sorry just seen the notification on it, no had it a while and hardly post anything to social media and certainly not with my number plate.

Haven't bothered with screws but someone snapped the steering lock off not top long ago, had to get a new lock set as couldn't turn the key. Reported to police again but no further trouble

  3. consumer law must sell it to me for the price marked up

    Thats not actually true!

They can refuse to sell you something if they believe its wrongly priced!

In stores: If an item is priced incorrectly on the shelf, or scans at the wrong price at the till, retailers are under no obligation to honour it, under the Sale of Goods Act. They can offer the item at the correct price or refuse your money and withdraw the product from sale

I work for ASDA and they will normally charge at the ticket price, only now and again will they refuse, normally with more expensive items but legally we can refuse to sell or charge the correct price.

  4. I was riding down a duel carriageway on my Yamaha yzf r125 last week after a Christmas concert I had just preformed at, and on my way I manage to slip and lock up my front wheel (I have ABS) anyways I came off at around 30mph and desrroid my left side boomerang fairing and my nose cone aswell. I've got the black and gold model and can't seem to find the right colour parts, any help?

    What did you slip on?

The road paint, I was going 50 and when I slipped I break got down to about 30 and my front wheel locked up.

When I first started riding I stopped at a roundabout and front well slipped on the road markings, no damage to me or my bike, just a bit embarrassed, lucky was basically stopped, just picked bike up and rode off
