Couldn't agree more. The riding schools are expected to give you a 5 day course and get you passed! That is very hard to do now, 80% fail rate for ppl who have only 5 days experience on a bike. CBT 125 for a year then pass ur real test when things like slow speed riding is second nature. And when I was training on the 500 (only had one lesson then 2 hours before my test) you could easily tell which folk had experience and which ones didn't Over all don't bloody rush!

Guys I don't think any instructor was going to fall off or lock up the breaks. It was more that they didn't get the speed by 1kph and that came as a supprise to them. My instructor was very very good and he told me the second time he did it, it was something silly like 65kph cause he was a bit embarrassed.

My instructors told me the same thing, even they get it wrong sometimes or at least they did when they first tried it

INCOMING FLAME OF DEATH!!!!! No I agree compleatly with you, the test needs more room before the swerve. I found plenty of room after it though, just the bit before is way to short.

The speed is a conversion from 50kph which is a euro rule Cobz I agree but on the road you dont have to razz it to 50kph u take ur time, as a learner you should have more room to perform the test

When I did my mod1 last year my test was cancled as the person before me crashed on the swerve test and damaged the tarmac, Not to mention broke her wrist and leg. As this test is european and I beleave been operating for much longer in other countrys id love to know if they have as many accidents. The problem I see is not the swerve at all, its the fact that there is not enough distance from the corner to the swerve itself. Why on the road would you come around a corner and then floor it to 30! your at the peak of your aceleration when u have to swerve even on a 500. They tell you to leave it in 2nd and just go for it!!!! Would be much safer if you could build to 30, hold ur spead and then swerve with plenty of time to stop after.

Lol last year on my 125 when I changed to a 500 you all said id do 100+mph before the next Rally and none of u beleaved I wouldnt. Well not long to go and still my top spead is 99.9 Not sure ill keep it tho on the new bike!! Hurry up Rally!

Guys my Bike was a write off, they buggered it up propper. Yeah I went to Blackpool and back last night, 70 miles alround with a brew in the middle. Bike seems to have survived so far and with all my chillout gear I wasn't freezing! certainyl wasnt warm tho
