It could of just been a coincidence. I suppose it is possible that the radiator could of got more road crud stuck to the outside and in its crevices as acf50 does tend to leave sticky residue behind.

If that had happened then perhaps the radiator was becoming overworked as it wouldn't be able to cool off as easily and sprung a leak.

    I'm only theorising though

Could be right there tbf, I do remember the times I wash my bike the radiator would sound less noisy. Ironically though I washed it yesterday and today it blew 😭🤣

A while back I was in our local doctors where I used to live. Sat there in the waiting room which was full of people. It was small town where everyone knew each other.

All you heard was - "Hey up Bill, nice to see you. How are ?"

"I'm very well thank you. How are you?"

"I'm great. Never better. There's Mary, how you doing Mary?"

"Eeeh I'm grand. Top of the world."

    "Hi Fred, how are you?"

"Fine I am. You're looking well."

And so on.......and so on.......and so on. Everyone was great, fine, very well, never better.......

Which made me think, what the hell are you all doing in the doctors?

They are there to visit the dashing doctors and beautiful nurses 😅

  3. Hi everyone I got my motorbike in October its a triumph speed triple r 2016 model.

So I took my acf50 out and sprayed it on all the prone to rust areas. I even did the radiator - but ever since doing that the radiator would smoke, I thought that is just the acf50 being burnt off.....

But then after awhile the radiator was making an annoying noise but the engine temperature was fine.

This was ongoing for a few months but today the radiator smoked a lot at a stop and then water came pouring out.

So yeah...the radiator blew. I'm wondering if this is down to me spraying it with acf50? Anyone know if you should or shouldn't be spraying the radiator with that stuff.

    Many thanks

  4. Hi im bought a 20 year old bike the paint on body work is great, although on the engine bay its starting to peel and you can see specs of the metal behind the paint, there is some rust on some of the bolts, and metal parts here and there.

I was wondering if anyone knows places in the UK that can repaint your bike and put in new bolts clean some rust off etc etc?

    Cheers

  5. My mate prepared his bike for winter riding, he acf50'd it, and ofc him being him, he put it on the brakes also. He ended up going out of his garage and crashing into his own car. At least he was only doing about 10mph eh'. He called me over to have a look at his bike because his brakes suddenly stopped working. I arrived and could smell the stench of the acf50 and told him that he is a prick and walked into his kitchen and made myself a coffee.

  6. Hey

My first bike is a 2011 Yamaha zfr125

I have a few question as I’m still learning how to properly ride my bike in my area.

I’m use to driving cars and I’ve realised I have a real hard time to see cars behind me. I can see through my left hand mirror quite easily but the right hand mirror doesn’t really show me the cars behind me and I keep moving the position and I still can’t see anything behind me.

Secondly, where should I position myself on the road? I’m from the UK London.

Thirdly, I find it difficult to find it difficult to turn into roads. I feel like I’m going too fast so I go in first to turn into new roads but then realise I’m going way too slow... is it fine for me to coast in gear 2 around a corner and then carry on in second? Which I do in a car?

Thanks for the help in advance

  7. Been riding for over a year now 70 miles a day 5 times a week every day, any weather. I have always been practising motorbike safety rules that you get from advance training. Although I have not done my advance I picked up a lot from certain youtubers, like Advancedbiker, Roadcraftnottingham, McRider, or Police biker videos.

So on a right turn I always stick left, away from the white line, every single time, every day. Never have I seen someone go over that white line coming the opposite way - but I kept being safe day after day, never tempted to kiss that line for a nice apex. Then yesterday, someone in a blue van came storming around the corner half his vehicle strayed over that line and almost had me. If I did not contentiously practice the safe riding techniques I would have been clobbered.

I know some riders out there who get bored of riding this way especially if they have never seen danger coming there way they start to think all is well lets tempt fate. Well yesterday was a prime example of why to never do this. Keep safe out there, do not tempt fate.

  8. Hi I have the extra lights fitted on my africa twin dubbed as 'fog lights' but they are not that powerful, well i though they werent anyway. All the bikers I see also run their's all the time day or night and so do I. But recently I have been getting flashed by cars for having mine running? Without them I can not see sh*t. Are they really that powerful?
