    Any ideas.....

Nah sod that for £250 I get an oil change, filter change, fuel filter change, air filter change, plugs, and new chain and sprockets. I think that would cost a bit at the garage and would rather save the money and get the satisfaction of completing it

    Any ideas.....

Pete that sounds like a good idea I will try that. I have tried the back brake and I am moving the wheel!! At the moment I am worried of pushing or pulling the bike over I am putting that much force on the socket. Sadly its just me and I don't have anyone to help me and Phil Susie is too far from me aswell Anyway aren't you capable of doing your own work!!!
  3. I have Shoei as my amin helmet but had to buy a cheapy one for an emergency and thought it was a pretty comfy helmet... Can't think of the make off the top of my head sorry a bit useless

    Any ideas.....

Its that time of year again and I am doing a full service on the bike.... Only problem I have is I am replacing the chain and sprockets too and the front sprocket is a pain in the ass to undo. Any ideas on how I can get the bugger off guys and girls. Thanks
  5. Sorry I haven't posted any pics yet I have no internet at the moment. Having had a couple conversations with my parents I think we will be looking at about £50 a head for staying inside and if you want to camp then around the £25 mark. Obviously this isn't including ferries which you can either book on your own or I can use a membership thingy of my parents to try to get cheaper tickets for people. All is to be confirmed yet as if would be good to have an idea of when and how many people want to go. Anyway here are a few pics...... The local lake I was planning a ride to View again The view from the lounge window The house
  6. Well I am here enjoying a bit of sun, well working my butt off in the garden, hopefully I will get some tan as the sun is out and I am topless, hows the rain there people?? Anyway the locals are very friendly and I was in the village bar until 1 this morning and for 2 of us to eat and drink all nite it only cost 44 euro which is a bargain I think.... I reckon there is about space in the garden area for a good 8 tents providing they aren't huge like (Miss D) I reckon the date will be sometime in the summer holidays, So who is interested as I am trying to get some idea as to where everyone will stay and stuff. Right I have work to do, hopefully the pics will come out later....... And would you believe it I have seen to Pans go past the window with Brit plates!!
  7. And one adult going towards the end of October from Portsmouth to St Malo is around £155...
  8. What is the bikers rest??? Just done a quick price for ferries to try and give you an idea a week over in France Sunday to Sunday using the Portsmouth to Cherbourg crossing it would set a bike and pillion back £155 roughly. Am still waiting to see what my parents are going to charge for the cottage, it sleeps 9 adults plus I think there is plenty of scope to put tents up too..... Will keep you all posted if you want and will post a few pics up.
  9. Serves you right for being in the Navy or are you posh enough to have your own yacht Col is it just a day thing or can you camp??? Either way think I will be up for it work permitting as usual oh and weather permitting
  10. Hi everybody I have a hair brained idea hatching in my head and here it is.... My parents have just bought a cottage farm thingy in the North of France in Brittany and can get some cheap deals on ferries over there. So.... Who would be up for a week or so in France next summer. What I was thinking is getting a rough idea on the price of tickets at their discounted rate for a bike and also finding out what sort of rate my parents will let me pass on to all you. I am off over there this weekend so I will get plenty of pictures and info on the area, so who would be interested in a week next summer BBQ booze and rides on the bike? Car peeps are welcome too after all where are we going to put all the cheap booze This is only to get an idea as to whether anybody is interested thats all. Theres also plenty of room for camping also. Right I must stop thinking where did this crazy idea come from!?!?!?! Incidently anybody wanting to take the family over to France on holiday do pm me and I will find out if they have somewhere for you to stay. I can assure you the price will be good.

Try the starter motor mate. Get a ahem hammer or other large and heavy implement and give it a knock then try starting it. I had a problem with my Diversion many years ago and I used to carry a very large suspension spanner with me to give it a whack. Turned out that as the bushes in the starter motor wear down it becomes hard to start. Unless your unit is a sealed unit they are pretty easy to replace.
