Just to be clear , I am guessing that the biker with the puncture was not an AA member and that the AA man fixed the tyre free of charge as an act of pure altruism . That being the case then yes , all praise to the chap .
Yep he wasn't a member of the AA.

It has made me think of breakdown cover. My insurance gives me breakdown cover up to 20 miles from home. Don't think this is enough really.

On a ride out last night, about 20 riding from Crewe to the raven just outside whitchurch.
One of the lads suffered a rear puncture, luckily for him the AA patrol following saw him pull in, offered to plug it and he was back on the road within 10 mins. Not all heroes wear capes, some drive AA vans wearing shades. (Cool as f**k).

Well got my zx6r today. Went for a little ride out, only local, and apart from a little frank spencer moment while turning around in a cul-di-sac ( stalled and wobbled but held it up) was all okay. Sounds good and pulls well.

Nice bike ,some good roads not far from you,as a 1st ride head towards Nantwich then take the back roads to Crewe some decent lanes round your way, just take it easy and you'll be reet
I think snugburys ice cream farm might be first on the list ( for Mrs Stubber anyway)

Nice one Stubber, it must be a great feeling knowing that all that money was well spent.
Just need to convince the wife of that now

Looking at an er6n or an xj6n. Looking at spending up to £2500. Forgot to add on the original post a big thanks to steve and Chris at bike zone in crewe. Been amazing and a good laugh along the way.

Passed my Mod 2 this morning in Shrewsbury. Well pleased with myself. Although I mainly lurk in the shadows of the forum I can honestly say it has been a massive help towards me passing. If anyone is thinking of progressing from cbt to full licence then look no further than here. Cheers everyone the beers are on me

Well. Failed mod 2 yesterday. Had two serious marks. One for running wide while turning left out of a junction. And a second for not indicating left when coming off a roundabout to the right. Not feeling too bad as overall I think it went well. Apart from the obvious. Instructor said there not caused by bad habits just little mistakes. Not beating my self up about rebooted boot it's not for a month away.

Got my Mod 2 in Shrewsbury next Friday. Getting nervous thinking about it. Watching clips on YouTube of live tests does help. As I'm not from Shrewsbury is there any junctions that I need to watch out for? TIA

Did my Mod 1 this morning in Shrewsbury and passed by the skin of my teeth (examiners words) 6 minors and retry on the avoidance (underspeed on first). Very pleased considering it was an hours ride there from crewe in torrential rain and never stopped raining until we got back to crewe. Still a pass. Got my Mod 2 booked for a few weeks time. Better weather I hope.
Well done.
What were the six for, by the way? One would be for the retry (been there seen there done it!)
Just looked again and it was five.
Stalled twice
Under speed for avoidance
Don't know what the other two were.
