  1. F**K IT F**K IT F**K IT

Still not got my bike fixed how long does it take for F**KS sake, its been a shambles from sart to finish asked for a price before easter and got rung on easter saturday to tell me what was wrong again but no price told me they'd ring the following thursday with a price and didn't so i ring them finally get a price last friday morning told them to go ahead and order parts. Rang yesterday to be told they've been shut since the bank holiday and not all my parts have come in supposed to ring this morning to tell me when can expect parts in and job to be done and still waiting. oh and tax has run out and not mot means i now have to sorn it too so F**K IT some more

  2. F**K it, all linkage bearings are seized solid and now mechanic saying he's not sure the shock is actually damping  and they can't give me a price till next thursday. I bounced up and down on the suspension before it went in and it seemed to be no different to how it has been the whole time i've owned this bike (although i didn't notice the linkage) 3rd mot i've put it through and first time this problem has come up not even had advisories for suspension.

Right royally fed up at the minute looks like another fortnight at least with no bike :crybaby:

  3. thanks for the link, so far after another chat with the mechanic who did mot the brakes are probably sticky due to road film and unlikely to need another rebuild (thank F**K) and he will be taking the rear end apart but looks like its going to be the linkage

  4. so the thundercat failed its mot again this year front brakes need rebuilding again (did them last year  ) and rear suspension is stiff garage are stripping it down to identify whether it is the bushes or the shock, does anyone have any experience with getting the rear shock refurbished and what sort of cost i would be looking at? :?

    thanks

    steve

  5. the split link was solid not moving at all given it a good scrubbing and lubing and lot of jiggling and it now moves more than it did also readjusted the chain and noise has gone (well quieter) and don't notice it through the pegs either now.

New speedo cable on too does feel better to do these jobs yourself

  6. Maybe your sprocket is worn and keeps jumping off then banging the casing or something?

I thought the same but the sprockets were put on with the chain done 2k at most, had a bit of a look tonight and sprocket still looks brand new going to get sprocket cover off and have a good clean round it and clean and re-do chain tension at weekend just to be doubly sure its not that.

  7. noise seems to be coming from the front sprocket so will be getting the cover off and having a good clean in there this weekend, hoping its not the bearing but then would expect that to be a constant noise at any speeds.... will let you know

  8. forgot to mention that if i give it some hard acceleration they both seem to go away and don't come back until around 10 - 15 mph mark

chain is well lubed, tyre pressures are ok not checked oil didn't think of that as for the gremlin if there is one its gonna end up homeless

  9. Hi all

When free wheeling my thundercat it now makees a noise not dissimilar to that of a pushbike when that is being free wheeled, this has only started since the recent snow as the bike came back out from hibernation this week and it wasn't doing it before handchain is well lubed and tension is spot on. Also i now get an occasional throbbing through the left hand footpeg again i thought this may be chain and sprockets but they look fine and to be honest have only done around 2k miles.

any ideas would be greatly appreciated
