  1. The last time we kitted out the wife and kids, it was at the Ally Pally, and we came away with arms full of bags lol. Last time at the NEC I just bought a new helmet. I think we might give the NEC a miss and just do Ally Pally. Its after Xmas afterall, so we may have xmas money to spend.... . G
  2. We're be going to either the NEC or the Ally Pally in Jan/Feb. The boy has out-grown most of his kit this year. Damn Teenagers! So, he's after a new jacket and trousers. And now Jo has her own bike, she wants new kit too . Question is, for bargains, is it best to go to the NEC for end of season bargains, or to the Ally Pally for VERY end of season bargains??? G
  3. Given the events of earlier today, probably best not to post your mobile number in the open forum...... G
  4. Steady on Dear. Lets get you thru the CBT first shall we . Gxxx
  5. How do you figure ? One day she's sat behind me digging me in the ribs if i go too fast. The next she's a speck in my rear view mirror lol . G
  6. Its not looking likely. We're picking Jo's bike up in the morning now. Its a Yamaha YBR125. After the appointment in Southampton, Jo wants to practice starting the bike and pulling away before Sunday's CBT. G
  7. I started anough thread for the Godshill meet, 'Fighting Cocks' 8) ! Not so sure we can make it now though . We have an appointment Saturday morning and Jo picks up her new bike in the afternoon. G
  8. It makes the beer even more rewarding if you've had a trek to get there Gx
  9. Its seems to work if you copy and paste it (minus the url bits) into the address line. I've been there a couple fo times by car. In the summer there's likely to be as many horses tied up outside as bikes lol. G
  10. Tizwas was where i bought my leathers, but that was when it was in Poole. I didn't realise it was even open on a Sunday! G
  11. Hello Paul. I didn't realise you were a member here too! G
  12. The Cricketers has a curry night on Wedsnesdays and we happened to be there when the bikers were. They usually ride out to Alton. The other one I have no idea where it is. Honest! My neighbour, who is a female biker told me about it. G
  13. Now that I've got your attention, sorry to disappoint you, but its just the name of the pub in Godshill Wow and Ian were talking about meeting at next Saturday (15th). I'll leave the arranging up to Wow as she did a great job last time. I've checked and there is only ONE Fighting Cocks pub in Godshill, so there'll be no mistakes this time. I blame Tom . In fact, its the ONLY pub in Godshill lol! I can't find a website for the pub, but this is its Multimap location: http://www.multimap.com/maps/?&hloc=GB|SP62LL#t=l&map=50.92314,-1.75855|14|4&loc=GB:50.93433:-1.74945:16|SP62LL|SP6%202LL I think if you're not sure of your way thru the New Forest, its best to take the A31 to Ringwood and then the A338 Salisbury to Fordingbridge, then the B3078. Cheers for now... G
  14. Yeah, where are we talking? I know the Southampton MAG meets at the Cricketers in Eastleigh every weds. There's also an all-female biker group that have their own club house somewhere in Eastleigh too. G
  15. The answer to that question Borile and Yor, is.......................yes lol. G
  16. You can tell her yourself now, as she's joined the forum today. Just have to persaude her to post now....... G
  17. Chances are Kiyo will be off to the Superbike team, so Rea could have been no1 in the BSB Honda team and would have stood a good chance of taking the title too. As it is, he's leaving with no silverware to ride on tracks he doesn't know. I wish him well and look forward to him racing against Jones and possibly Tommy Hill, but i'd preferred him to stay in BSB another year. Unless of course he knows HRC are pulling out of BSB next year..........?? G
  18. After meeting some nice folks and seeing other girls riding their own bikes, especially her best friend, the missus now doesn't want to be a pillion any more (only her second time in 5 years!), and she has put in for her CBT on 16th Sept! On the down side, That obviously rules us out of a bike meet for that day, which i think was to be Godshill. Sorry. Unless of course you're happy for me to come along sans females lol!? G
  19. Hey all. I checked Google and there was def TWO Half Moon pubs on the A272, 8 miles apart. I can't blame Tomtom as that's how i found out we were at the wrong one. We stopped when we passed it at not long after 12, so didn't think it strange that no-one else was there yet. A little while later a blue Bluebird goes past. Didn't think anything of that either as many bikes had been past. But then he looks across and then brakes hard to turn around and joins us. Its Justarider. So we sit there outside the pub chatting and the girls go order some food and drinks. After a while we get to wondering why no-one else has turned up as its getting on for 1:15. My wife comments on the fact that we haven't really left Petersfield, so how can the pub say its in Midhurst. I then check with Mr Tomtom and he says we still have 8.3miles to go!!! We can't leave though as our food hasn't arrived, so Justarider offers to go ahead to see if he can find the other Half Moon. 10 mins later we get the call and lo and behold we're at the wrong damn pub. Anyways, it was good to meet a few now-familiar faces and WoW, it was good to meet you and your friends. My wife enjoyed herself. It was her first time meeting peeps from a forum and proved i hadn't secretly joined a Dogging site, although if she'd heard Colin say that about Bury Hill, she may have changed her mind lol. Ness (the girl on the Hornet) was quite pleased with herself. A few firsts ticked off that day: Riding on a motorway, riding on country lanes, riding in a group, socialising with other bikers, and of course getting stopped by the police for speeding (my fault). She also said she'd def come along if we arrange another. Wow, the chap on the VFR400 mentioned a meet at Godshill, New Forest. Can you find out the name of the pub he was talking about? Cheers, Gweev
