  1. I'm new so won't have seen it. I put a socket on the pins and they move freely so I'm lucky someone did grease them. Still not removed so could have issues yet lol
  2. yep found it mate thankyou, very helpful indeed..
  3. thats cool il look My calipers are differnt as it happens (from other post). still trying to find the actual model. this manual looks bang on thanks
  4. its a 2006 k6 650. abs model. must say ive not seen any like this on all the videos ive looked at lol. could be a twist and pull. the diagram may come in handy too thanks. edit - mine are only 2 pot
  5. It does have a split pin yes. I agree for a brake system that looks fragile.
  6. Hey, I was going to strip the brakes to clean them, the pads look good but I wanted to take apart properly and saw a video about the pins needing to be replaced often. the pins on my calipers don't look like any ive seen on videos as they unbolt from the back of the caliper and the bolt is tiny (4 or 5 mm) Anyone know where I can get these pins as ones I see online are bigger heads that bolt from the front. cheers
  7. hahaha. so were all chunky butts? all good I believe it has been scientifically proven that heavier riders are less prone to high speed weave. At least that's always my reason for seconds of pudding. I'm only doing for safety reasons. Im using that excuse lol..
  8. hahaha. so were all chunky butts? all good
  9. I still think most manufacturers go by the average BMI male which is around 13stone but I notice alot of race bike lads are slim. unless leathers are flattering lol. So when suzuki say 36 psi rear, that wont be for a man or women 4stone heavier. (56lbs)
  10. Me too. very cool style
  11. In short, yes, roads are busy but most visitors tend to get of the beaten track and go and explore the island, when racing is on, you can still get around, use some of the smaller B roads and explore some of the countryside. Thankyou. Spoke with my partner last night and we agree coming on foot/or car or even hiring a car when there may be the best first time.
  12. I only check and top up when cold. But the loss is small over days but is there. I may get them looked at if its a few psi per week. the book says 36/36 for my bike, at my weight I have started to look at going higher on the rear to see how it feels. Took a while to get the suspension where I like it too. Yesterday went to 38 rear but do think 40 will be the sweet spot.. Im not massive by the way, only17st 4. But i see bikes seem t obe made for an average 10st male.. or so it seems.
  13. A little over a week into using my new Caberg Droid helmet and It is great. The design is just my thing but its also comfy to wear and the flip front can be locked up to ride legal open face. Bought for £179 in sale from sports bike shop. free next day deliver. I would say if my head was any bigger Id go a size up. its snug but I like that. I'm 58.5cm and large is 59-60 so if you are between 59-60 try XL. hopefully, shops are open soon so it's easier, I ordered online and took my chances. It is a light helmet, so long trips are good. The sunvisor isn't super dark but does enough. And it is pinlock ready and came with one. I've not fitted it yet as not sure if Il need to until the weather drops. Visor has a good seal, no leaks when cleaning. Pros - pre-made space for comms Light, looks funky, comfy, flip front locks Cons none really but I can't fit sunglasses in even though it says you can, could just be too snug. I cant see a groove for them.
  14. Cheeky sod most forums have a good moan if you don't try use a thread that exists. Actually was more effort to search for a thread and ask rather than just ask lol
  15. I top it up before bigger rides, if popping out I won't as its usually close. I have a cheap checker which says 32 if it's 34 lol so going to get a better one, but as a guide if it says 32 I know they're around 34 so will use the bike local. But before big rides top it up.
  16. Just out of interest, do many go over by bike and get to ride casual around the island, obviously when racing is off etc. Never been and would love to know how most experience it etc. thanks
  17. I know this is an old thread, but rather than start a fresh Il ask here. I check my tyres before each ride, and usually do 50 to 100 miles a time. I notice after a couple of runs tyres drops to 34 psi and dont really go lower. I top up, then they drop again. Think im losing the plot but is it normal?
  18. My instructor isnt on that list, shame
  19. that is very cheap for the level of info you would gain. I wasn't being tight as such but I know some free courses are good stepping stones. But yes my instructor does advanced and once working again was going to ask him. Then like you after a little more experience do the IAM and bike safe as its cheap anyway. thankyou
  20. Made loads of sense mate thankyou. the only spare zip I have it is the one that would go on a jacket. I need the half for the jeans so will look into that thankyou.
  21. Any idea where I can buy the half of a zip to sew into bike jeans so my jacket can fix on. Its an 8" zip and the jacket seems to fix to most textiles ive used. So seems to be universal. I just need a zip for the jeans. cheers
  22. He has a brain disease so wasnt risking it
  23. He went to the hospital as he has an underlying illness, well a couple. but was and is ok.They didnt keep him in
  24. They did the same to my friend, he had the symptoms, was feeling really off, so they said "you have COVID" he said hang on I've had this for 5 weeks. So did get tested and DIDNT have it. Just because they say you have it doesn't mean you do. They also told another friend he had heart failure 3 years ago and would die, 12 months later told him it had gone. Meaning never had it. So much crap to it all.
  25. Well, it turned out the power supply was insufficient, it was powering on the box but not enough to fully. And also the cameras. The new box came and trying that power source proved all was ok. Realised when tried to use the old power on the new box. Also, the clown who fitted it fitted a 2amp power and not 5. got 2 years out of it so not to bad. Just glad didn't need it for last week or so.
