Keep your wigs on guys jeez. I was joking - I thought the emojis would explain that Genuinely curious to get others bikers answers as to why. I’ll assume the ones who have moaned about me asking are the same ones that don’t nod! I personally think it’s rude when they stare at you, you nod to them and nothing. If you don’t want to interact that’s fine but there’s no need to stare! I’ve genuinely noticed a difference and if you ask me it’s a my dicks bigger than yours complex. The rudeness on here has actually proved my point! Such a shame as most of you are a nice bunch. If my post is boring or you’ve read it all before or you don’t like what I have to say then don’t comment, don’t be rude!

Hi guys, I hope you’re all keeping well?! I know you’re probably all sick of me by now but I’m curious... Put simply when I ride the 650 I get nods from loads of people however if I’m on the 125 I don’t seem to get any... it’s making me feel inferior Am I being a snowflake or is this actually a thing?

Right okay. I have got you now. I’ll take a look and see what’s occurring with the cable! Thank you!
-
Did revs increase or stay same as speed went down? I’m pretty sure they stayed the same
-
I have wondered about the clutch and if it could be related. It had adjustable racing levers on it. I’ve just checked and it’s on 1. Would it be worth bringing down to 2 or 3? Could this contribute to a loss in power too?
-
Thank you. I have checked the list and no recalls thankfully!
-
Just assumed it was engine related given previous issues. Brakes seem fine but will check for excess heat after a ride tomorrow. No obvious signs of air in take blockage but am considering changing it anyway to be safe. Also no air in fuel tank

Hi guys. Sorry I’ve been so busy and only just got back online. I’ll post individual replies now

Hi Guys, yet another issue when riding Gladys! Was in 4th gear and the bike didn’t really lose power. It finally dropped to about 25mph but didn’t big out or stall or anything. That can’t be normal. Any ideas? Thanks in advance
-
Thank you I will give this a go. Going to post again as something new is happening now!
-
It’s really hard to pin point it while looking online. Plus there doesn’t seem to be a huge amount of information on the Gladius. Spoke to my guy at the garage and he’s said as it’s intermittent it’s hard to run tests on it as if it doesn’t have the symptoms he won’t be able to find the problem. Going out today so will see how she runs.

This is what we thought until the new thing as mentioned in the comment above happened.

Hi thanks for your reply. You’ve made me curious as today after a short run something new and odd happened. Normally the bike pulls at 7mph in gear 1 with no throttle and no clutch but today it pulled at 12mph. Could this tie in with the throttle control you mentioned?
-
I suppose you could compare it to that but everything stayed on, lights, dash etc. It’s fuel injected but I guess it would be similar to if your carbs needed a clean. Literally could open it full throttle and nothing happened. Came down to about 30mph then picked back up again. It’s really odd.
-
Hmm hadn’t considered that but looking into we think the air filter is due a change. So maybe start with that then

Hi guys, it’s me again. The other day me and my partner were out on the Gladius. He was in 4th gear. Accelerated and changed into 5th. We lost almost all power as if it had gone into limp home mode. Then the power seemed to come back on its own. Without switching the bike off and on. It’s also happened once before when I was riding it. Literally yanking the throttle back and nothing happens. I’ve spoken to my guy at the garage and he will take a look but he seemed stumped to so I thought I would ask on here to see if you guys had anything similar and found out what the problem was. As I said this has happened twice but that been over the space of a year. Thanks in advance

Hi guys, sorry I’ve only just been able to get back on. Thanks for your recommendations I’ll take a look at them all!

Hi guys, I’m looking for a rear hugger to fit a Suzuki Gladius SFV650 2009. I’m hoping to be able to get one that just screws onto the swing arm. I wondered if anyone knew what would fit it. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for all your replies. I will get the service done and change the chain and sprockets and see how I go. Thanks again
-
I’m 5’2” and weigh 8 stone so it’s not that I’m aware they don’t have much power and I don’t know a lot but I know it doesn’t run as it should
-
I only got it at the beginning of the month and the guy didn’t speak much English. But the oil is still good. It’s starts on the button every time with no worries so don’t think it’s carb related. Point is though I don’t actually know when a service was last done. It wouldn’t have done many miles though as only 11,000 miles on the clock. Last MOT was a year ago and it’s only done a few miles since then

Hi guys, it’s me again! So I live on private land so have been lucky enough that I have a small road that I can ride around, I started off on a 650cc so riding a 125cc was alien to me! Anyway long story short both me and partner feel like it doesn’t have the pull that it should (Honda CBR125R 06) my partner had the same bike and same model and could easily pop a wheelie in gear 1. With my bike there would be no danger of that. It’s not that I want to pop wheelies because I don’t, I just want the bike to run as it should. It maybe due a service which I plan to do next month but I wondered if you guys knew if that could be the problem or it could be something else. The previous owner removed the baffle from the sports exhaust and I wondered if that could be a contributing problem. Thanks in advance for any help or advice

If anything they’d be bigger but it’s an original Honda mirror for that bike so I’m not sure.
-
Thank you. I don’t think they’re that clear on there are they. Each to their own I just think they look tidier. Forgive me if I sound silly but it’s both the right hand and left hand. To be honest I’m not even sure it’s the thread. Previous owner removed the original mirrors and I assume rode without any. Replaced them with some crappy alloy cover screws and now they won’t unscrew. Its almost like they’ve melted in there or something. I have a spare mirror. It’s a right hand one and when I did manage to get the cover screws out the mirror just won’t go but I won’t lie the thread looks okay so I’m lost. i had bar end mirrors fitted to mine, think they look much better than standard ones, and i can see much more , no elbows in the way Yeah I’m sold on them to be fair makes the bike look less buggy

Was under the impression mirrors are not legally required on a bike? Happy to be told I'm wrong as usual of course No they’re not but I didn’t like to say anything
