  1. Hi everyone sorry I haven't been a big poster but I do log in and have a read everyday.

Anyway yesterday I had my first go at changing my front disc pads on my marauder 125. I wasn't sure where to put the copper grease so I didn't use it. Nothing seems to be squeaking or screaming so I was wondering would I cause any harm not using copper grease and where do you put it I assume between the thin plate and the back of the pad?

    Thanks 4 ur help

  2. Been looking into buying acf 50 but I'm a bit lost on how much I would need to buy. I see they do an aerosol can or would I need more than that like the 1 litre container? Also I was wondering if I was my bike I take it I would then have to re apply acf 50 again? Sorry if these are daft questions :)

  3. Im from Sidcup and I always see alot of bikes, but they are always either "big bikes" going at Mach3 or 50cc 16 year olds in their Mckenzie Tracksuits and T-Shirts....

Would be nice to meet a few of the people on here....

I ride a 125 myself, don't know anyone in the area who rides but I know people still meet occasionally by Blackheath Tea Hut....

Don't fret dj :crybaby: . Sure there's enough Bexley locals around to arrange a bibble one Sunday afternoon. Barry (bwhiti) is in Welling & soon to get his Marauder 125 back on the road. Some nice routes near the Weald & they're not too far. Wish you'd all get some 'proper' bikes though lol. What bike do you ride?

Im back at last so if anyone fancy a bimble sometime give me a shout. I only have a 125 dj as well so I wont be to fast for you for sure. Maybe a little to slow its a marauder and Im a fat bloke so its not really fast.

wugzie Im hoping to get down to doing my tests in the new year now. After my accident its dendeted my ego and knocked my confidence a little so Im sure having to go slow over the winter will build this up again for me ready for the test next year. :)

  4. Lost one of the cats we rescued from a bad home 5 years ago died three weeks ago.

Whole family feeling the loss and had to watch my hard as nails mum cry for the first time in about a year.

Stayed solid for her and helped her through it.

Only to have this morning another cat of the family to be hit by a car and Killed.

This time it was my dads cat and again i was the one to try and comfort my dad.

To thouse who don't have pets you will think this post is useless but to thouse who have had that one animal thats there every morning when you wake up and there to see you safely to bed, always happy to see you etc. To have them gone from the family leaves a huge hole.

This is now 2 holes in an already torn up family.

To make things worse i cant see my dad to hug him as he lives in Qatar and im in Birmingham at Uni and cant get home to comfort Chris who was very close to both cats.

Sorry for the huge post just needed some one to tell as I'm in bits too but dont want to let my family see it.

Going home today is going to feel so empty.

So sorry for your lose I know some people might not understand but I do and I wish you all my condolences

  5. Thanks everyone for the sound advice. I do have a heavy chain as well I just want the alarm fitted reall because my neighbours are burglars and car/bike thiefs so I just wanted a way of hearing it if they tried anything. The bike isn't really worth alot in money it's just it's my pride and joy :D

  6. Hi

Sorry if these question's are a bit dense bit I just know.

I'm looking to purchase an alarm for my bike but I was wondering as my bike does not have an immobiliser fitted can I purchase an alarm that will enable me to have an immobiliser fitted to the bike.

Also has anyone got any good alarms they could recommend please. :)

    Thanks

    Barry
