  1. Hi guys, I have actually had two, (bought at separate times to make a dual exhaust set up) they are really good. Welding is really neat and they hold together well. Had mine out in all weathers and no signs of rust or anything really.

If you google danmoto and gsxr1000 there is a race team that tested it against a Leon Vince system and they produce the same power.

Took some abuse from me and stood up well, firstly, I was using a link pipe from a beowulf can and it wouldn't tighten onto the downpipes properly so after a while the can slipped down and was rubbing on the swing arm - ouch, grazed but didnt go through to the packing or crack. Secondly due to the dodgy link pipe I kept taking the can off to adjust and I eventually cut through the rubber on the hanging strap and it scratched parts of the lacquer off.

They sound decent but are very loud though, perfect for me but might be too loud for most people.

The baffles aren't much use but you wouldn't buy this can if you wanted something quiet.

No markings other than a stamped danmoto logo.

I haven't tried any of there other exhausts but wouldn't hesitate to get one.

Unless I could get a decent condition branded exhaust for the same price I would always get danmoto exhausts.

Oh also, some people like to say that the carbon melts - this is absolute bullshit, it barely heats up even after a spirited ride out.

  2. Take tank off, take airbox off, carbs off, and it sits in the rubbers, all mine are facing so that you can see thru them into the hole at the bottom of the rubbers, if you spin them round so when you look thru the hole you see the slope directly below then I think u cud have a delay when u open throttle because the fuel isnt going straight down. Pm me if you need me to take any pictures of my tcat over the weekend

  3. SORTED !!! Opened bike up, cleaned and greased connection to starter motor and its working perfectly.

Was working fine for a few days then noticed yesterday there seemed to be a lack of power, like it wasn't warmed up properly or released clutch to early and the bike stuttered.

Never happened before so was really odd, any suggestions?

    Things to note:

Cold and wet day - warmed bike up for a bit longer than I usually do

    Brother was on back

One exhaust header keeps getting blown off, only leaking slightly (sorting today)

Clutch cable has a temporary fix whereby it sits on a nut rather than in the adjuster because it broke - hopefully new one arrives today

Also, one last thing, put a new end can on the other day, Danmoto carbon and s/s stubby, and it seems to backfire a lot more than my beowulf can, its sounds brilliant but is this going to be doing any damage?

  4. hi, bike doesn't always start when i want it. Sometimes it works perfectly but getting more frequently when i press start switch lights on dash come on as they should but there is a ticking sound from under the seat. I had this problem about 2 months ago and my mate used a voltmeter to trace it to the starter motor, he cleaned it out, which seemed to fix the problem up until last week when exhaust gaskets were replaced.

So, is it a case of a new starter motor? Used ones from a biker breakers worth it? Possibility of another part? Try cleaning again?

I know little about bikes so if replies could be simple it would be appreciated.

    thanks

    Grant
