  1. Good luck mate, Just remember lifesaver everytime you stop or move off. you'll be fine
  2. just buy the dsa dvd there's nothing hard about the test if you study for it, you need to train your eyes for what to look for.
  3. Just start off slow till you get use to where to position you bike and build your speed up till your swerve is about 53kph. what date is your mod 1 booked for
  4. i had a 2 hour lesson in the dsa test area before my mod 1, my instructor hires it off them on the weekend, which was good as the cones never get moved. If he says your ready then you should go for it.
  5. Cheers still got this stupid grin
  6. Hi guy's just a quick update. Passed mod 1 on monday 09:30, found it went really smooth after a bad bad test run the week before. no minors went a bit fast on the swerve and controlled stop 61/62 did'nt want to leave it to a 2nd attempt . booked in for mod 2 on the 18th looking forward to it. had the biggest grin all the ride home.
  7. well done good luck with your mod one
  8. Dont worry about it, it's only going to last about 15min think how quick that goes by when your on your lessons. I've got my mod 1 on monday morning feeling ok about it just now bound to have some nerves on the day tho positive attitude and you'll be fine
  9. No problem let us know how you get on.
  10. Dont know if this will help but when i was having problems with the slow stuff i would sit further forward as close to the tank as i can get, this causes your elbows to bend more and stop the throttle shutting off like it does when you try it with straighter arms, also keep telling yourself to keep your head up and dont look 5 feet in front of you helps keep the balance from the start, good luck
  11. Yeah buy the dvd once you know how it's scored and what they are looking for you to click at, it's easy you'll nail it next time, best of luck
  12. http://www.mandp.co.uk/productinfo/5228 ... aust-Paint You can also get in of a know auction site just search for pj1
  13. Buy paint that resists high heat, such as PJ1 high-temp paint. You can find spray cans of it on websites and at auto parts stores. You also can use flat black paint made for barbecue grills--it's available at many hardware stores. Spray on several light coats, letting them dry in between. At the end, warm up your bike for about 15 minutes. Let it cool, and warm it up again for about a half-hour. This slow warming process helps the paint cure. After painting, use header or heat wrap on the first 6 inches or so. Even high-temperature paint will peel near the engine. Dont know if this helps i'm just a learner
  14. Cheers guys, I took the cbt as a test as two guys in my group were told they would need to come back and try again as they were not competent enough to go on to the road. I'm just happy to have my bit of paper. The ride today was great, sunny and dry and just the instructor and me. Cant wait to get back on the bike now

  19. Hi, Take the screw back out and put a bit of thread lock or (super glue if you cant get any) on the treads of the screw, then screw it back in but not fully tightend, the thread lock will hold the screw in place and stop it from coming undone again. Has a curing time so read the label best to leave for 24hrs if you can.
  20. Cheers mate i'll have a look
