  1. I always take it easy. I do about 50 miles until shiny stuff in centre of tyre has gone, then i gradually starting leaning a bit more until basicly all shiny stuff has gone on sides and edges. Until then I dont open it up, the stuff is slippery. The best thing is to find a load of twisty country rounds and just do them over and over.

  2. you should always check it when warm too. If its reading max when cold you need to get some of that oil out pretty sharpish. I've done this before and took the drain plug out when oil was cold. It didnt run out so quickly + I could quickly put the plug back in after some came out. Its better to have too little oil than too much.

  3. my bike has a reserve light that comes on opposed to turning a tap, but whatever way your's does it...I always want to know how far I can get on reserve in case im caught short, so when i get a new bike I let it run down to reserve and then I fill a one litre bottle with petrol and put it in my rucksac. I then ride the bike until it runs out and see how much I get! Pretty much every bike ive had does a min of 30 miles on reserve, most do more depending on how much throttle you give it. depending on what speed your doing it is better to stay in a higher gear to keep the revs down so you dont use as much fuel. Hope that helps :)

  4. lol I said that because I was meant to be going on Monday with some mates, I had booked up and they tried a few days later and it was sold out! i think with this spate of sun people are up for it. I'm going in the novices this time because I havent had the bike long and want to get to know it first before i start ringing its neck :)

  5. I stopped on Sunday to help an old biker on a Brough Superior whose chain had snapped, asked if he needed a lift/phone, anyway... he spent an hour explaining the bike, and spanked me when I said I hadn't heard of Brough Superior.... yes... SPANKED me.....

I've not heard of a Brough Superior either?? funny story though :) Probably thought you needed them after your ride bike from the Marina tonight! I froze my nuts off getting back to cambridge after I left you guys tonight :D
