  1. See I'm completely the opposite. I prefer wearing leathers whenever I can, unless its wet. I never tried a one piece. I have a two piece as I figured it would be easier to live with day to day. I'd suggest a turtle suit if you are a weekend or track rider.
  2. Aria Don't fit my head because it's an odd shape (my head not Aria helmets). I also had a S900 as my first helemt, I thought it was good, until I upgraded, now I don't know how I coped with it. The worst part for me is the fact that the visor window seems a lot smaller than my Shoei. I do miss that drop down sun visor though.

    bike smoking

I thought the exhaust was always on the other side than the chain (If its not under the seat etc) The main can is on the other side, however the pipe runs underneith my bike on the left hand side. There is a corner just under where the chain meets the gearbox. It's a bitch to clean, and I've just got a new oil which comes out frothy and I'm finding hard to gudge how much I'm putting on. I'm sure I'll get used to it though.

Yeah, scared the shit out of me when my GPZ did that for the first time. It's all good though. My new bike smells horrible if I over oil the chain, because the oil drips on to the exhaust, but I can only smell it when I'm stopped. As long as it's not over heating and you can't see any evidence of any leakages anywhere I wouldn't worry about it!
  5. I wear thermal inner gloves in mine. I initially started this because my winter gloves are so thick, I would be sweaty by the end of most of my trips, and taking my gloves of would cause the liners that were now stuck to my stick fingers to turn inside out. Fun times. The inners are washable and so cheap that I can actually wear them all summer long as well without getting too hot. Failing that you could just wash your hands when you get off your bike, and try to refrain from sticking your nose in your gloves.
  6. Maybe there could be a tracking, modding and restoring section all in one?
  7. I have the week off from the 29th of Aug. I guess it depends on the weather, but I was thinking of taking a ride down to the coast. I haven't made any solid plans yet so if any of you guys have time for a ride out let me know when your free, I'm flexible, but would rather it wasn't wet (not that you can plan for that). Also if anyone has any ideas as to specific locations I'm all ears!

    first puncture

Do you have a gravel drive? Ours is quite old now and I'm forever finding crap that have been brought up from underneith. Even found a few barbed nails the other day, wouldn't be fun getting one of those in my tyre. If you have it will probably be worth checking it over.
  9. Does any one know a good product for removing fairly deep scratches. It looks like someone has keyed my tank!
  10. When I did mine, I was told that the way you are doing it isn't as important as being in control of the bike. If something makes you feel unstable don't do it like that. I did mine on a big bike, I was taught to take the weight of bike on my rhip and kick the stand with my right foot. In the real world you won't ever take it off the stand without being off the bike.
  11. I have the same problem, but that never stopped me going for a ride. It can be quite liberating having the freedom to go wherever you want at your own pace. I just rend to go and get lost then try and find my way back. P.s. This was supposed to be a reply to bumble but my phone won't let me do that.
  12. Maybe we should organise a weekend where we can all meet up. Generally I am free every other weekend, however My boss has decided that all the guys in our department should mix things up a bit and swap some of our shifts around. Basically at the moment I don't know which weekends I'm going to be free, but I should find out by next week some time. Is weekends best for you guys?
  13. I know it's a bit late but I joined anyway, I thought I would get some practice in for next season.
  14. When everything is going to shit, I try to think like Ogri.
  15. Cheers dwb, Sounds like an offer I cant refuse. Just out of interest what do you ride?
  16. If the misses isn't working I may be able to drag here up there, athought that's where her gandparents live so I should imagin it's going to envolve some not so fun times
  17. Hi guys, been riding for a year now and it's always been a solitary affair. I've never minded this but I am wandering what all the fuss is about when it comes to this riding as a pack stuff. Is there anyone in the berskhire area that is in the same situation, or know of anyone organising meets in this area? I'm hoping someone can open my eyes to the big wide World of biking, or at least make some biker friends in the area!
  18. Thanks for the advice guys. I'll have to put the misses on it next time I check it.
  19. My new baby. Yeah, it's love. 2011 CBR 600FA. Yum.
  20. Hi, I've recently aquired a 2011 CBR600f and I've been looking at the chain, it looks really loose, but it's set by the owners manual guide (35mm). Has anyone got any advice as to how much room I have to play with this as I much prefer riding with a tight chain, but I don't want to overstretch the chain. (I don't know what other problems you can cause by over tightening your chain.) Please help.
