  1. It's been a while since I was on here, a few years I think as my address was set to Essex and I'm now in Lancashire. Anyway after stupidly selling my two year build of my Honda bros I know need a project to fill the gap, I have finally decided to start another project and hopefully keep it this time. I have just bought a 1998 Suzuki gsx 750f. Needs quite a bit of work but as long as the engine is good, I'm happy to do everything else. I'm due to pick it up Sunday so pictures will follow. Paul
  2. Looking good Great news on the storage unit. Very similar as to what is attached to my house and great for keeping out of the cold. I'm not much help when it comes to mix ratios, i'm more of a spectator for this thread
  3. I have much a similar set up as i did with the 125, desnorkled airfilter and still using the same carbs with a slight increase in the main jets. The pilots have been increased, needle clip returned to the middle. Just ordered bigger jets as the other hyo members that run this engine with the Stainless system are running 100/102 main jets and i think 21 pilots. As i did with the last setup, trial and error with the carbs. Lots of messing about but well worth it when you get the perfect setup.
  4. Thank you Just ordered a new chain and sprocket and bigger main jets...job for the weekend.
  5. Spent the weekend fitting a 250 engine. Engine came from the GV cruiser so some nice chrome casing. Massive difference to ride, goes like s@@t off a shovel so to speak. http://imageshack.us/a/img208/9971/photo1138w.jpg
  6. it did cross my mind but i do like the position as is. To do it properly i would need USD's or i could opt for universal cip ons. I would like to try it at some point
  7. Well my bike has had many changes....from naked to fully faired. I will be taking the bike off the road soon to completely strip down and respray the new design i have in mind. Do like it fully faired so going to keep it like this now http://imageshack.us/a/img716/1038/photo1104.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img822/5692/photo1102u.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img38/1388/photo1115l.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img222/9449/photo1120.jpg
  8. Engine was painted black mate....been trying to keep with a black and silver theme. As much as i like the streetfighter style i have been trying to do something different. I removed the streetfighter style headlight and added fairings to the top to come away from streetfighter look. It wont be long before i get bored with my current colour scheme...already planning a different one but for now i think i will just enjoy
  9. Another update guys Just fitted Bridgestones and very happy with them. Renthal bars sprayed and fitted today. Trojan fairing mirrors fitted, couple of decals and a major clean up http://img687.imageshack.us/img687/6011/photo1047g.jpg http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/3129/photo1048u.jpg http://img441.imageshack.us/img441/231/photo1052k.jpg http://img16.imageshack.us/img16/7056/photo1053c.jpg http://img502.imageshack.us/img502/5162/photo1054.jpg http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/5236/photo1055.jpg http://img444.imageshack.us/img444/4034/photo1056.jpg http://img811.imageshack.us/img811/8533/photo1058x.jpg http://img59.imageshack.us/img59/2726/photo1059p.jpg http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/4157/photo1060v.jpg Just bought a full size endcan as i'm not too keen on the stubby can now. Sorry for all the pics just very happy with how it has transformed on the 18 months of owning it
  10. Cheers mate, very happy with it. Been tempted to go full faired but it's more my own stamp on it leaving it like this Great work .... I think you should now take off the Hyosung badges and replace them with PandP ones as you seem to have created your own bike now now that's an idea Few more bits to add yet - Renthal bars, fairing mirrors, new tyres, chain and sprockets and hopefully mod this Brembo rear master cylinder to fit my Hyo.
  11. Cheers mate, very happy with it. Been tempted to go full faired but it's more my own stamp on it leaving it like this
  12. Updated pics of new upper fairing mod http://img826.imageshack.us/img826/1948/photo0992c.jpg http://img822.imageshack.us/img822/5338/photo0993k.jpg http://img13.imageshack.us/img13/199/photo0994h.jpg
  13. Had my exhaust modded today and got rid of the dodgy T junction pipe that was in the system sold to me. Anyway, now the system has a nice sweeping pipe from the RC http://img715.imageshack.us/img715/3931/photo0774t.jpg http://img72.imageshack.us/img72/9509/photo0775.jpg http://img837.imageshack.us/img837/3789/photo0776t.jpg I was quite shocked to find this when we cut the T join, not very good workmanship http://img816.imageshack.us/img816/2958/photo0772g.jpg
  14. Done away with the round headlight and screen for a more streetfighter look. Modded the grab rail. Hoping to get rid of the pods and fit a digital speedo, koso or similar. http://img542.imageshack.us/img542/8113/photo0728q.jpg http://img851.imageshack.us/img851/6061/photo0710d.jpg http://img254.imageshack.us/img254/675/photo0706.jpg http://img528.imageshack.us/img528/9364/photo0707f.jpg Even my daughter is starting early on the bikes http://img708.imageshack.us/img708/9889/photo0757a.jpg
  15. Thank you. Hope you like what i have done now.
  16. So sorry mate, haven't been on for a while so didn't see your post. I have been spending more time on the bike and the screen has now gone. Pics to follow.
  17. Cheers guys Plenty of slack on the chain but i do think the chain has had it. One thing i did notice, the front sprocket is flush on one side and has a lip on the other. I may have had the lip facing outwards with the old engine in but since fitting the new engine, i may have put the lip facing in. There is no information anywhere to state which is the proper way the sprocket faces so i don't think it really matters. Because the sprocket was run for so long one way, taking wear into account, now it is facing the other way it could be affecting the chain. As i say i dont think the chain is much good now so i am going to buy a new chain and sprockets and start again.
  18. Fitted my new swingarm this morning then took her for a spin. Just before i set off i could hear a sort of crack whilst free wheeling the bike, i thought it was my seat as it does rub on the lower part of the tank. I heard the noise again when i got to halfords and then again whilst pushing the bike into the workshop. Sounds to be coming from the chain area. When i put the bike on the centre stand and spin the rear wheel i can hear it at every certain point of the turn. Watching the chain from the back it does not run dead straight, it appears to sort of move from left to right. Wheel is perfectly aligned and front sprocket is fitted correctly with no movement. Chain got very noisy a while back, lots of chattering so maybe it is now knackered.
  19. It's an ebay screen mate. Think it was around £50. Here is a better picture http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/9930/photo0636w.jpg
  20. Cheers buddy. Some very slight orange peel if you look very close. Lots of cutting compound and T-cut used to get rid of the peel but very happy with the finished result.
  21. I wish i could say i have finished modding but i always find something else Thinking of changing the light to twin, sort of streetfighter style.
  22. Okay guys well im new to the forum, only been biking for around 10 months. I purchased the hyo because of the size and weight, i thought it would help when i come to do my bike test. I have worked on the bike more than it has been on the road and i have got quite attached to it now Anyway, this is what it looked like after a clean when i first got it. http://img543.imageshack.us/img543/3970/photo0289a.jpg This is roughly what i have done to it in the time owned. SS exhaust Gone through 3 batteries due to an electrical problem, now solved Replaced R/R Fitted a screen Fitted bellypan Fitted rear hugger Centre stand New year indicators Modded tail tidy Mirror extenders New grips Re jetted carbs Desnorkled air filter Resprayed the entire bike(in my shed with rattle cans) Just fitted a new engine with only 4000 miles on the clock The list goes on and on and here is how it looks now. http://img217.imageshack.us/img217/3055/photo0665yx.jpg http://img256.imageshack.us/img256/7742/photo0666.jpg
