  1. Rode the bike this morning- only about 5 miles to doctors and back, last ride was second weekend in November, the weekend before the operation & I didn't know if would be on bike again.

Operation seems to have been successful (touch wood) and chemotherapy not as bad as feared

Roads and roadworks horrible - rain and wind shocking

    R1200R behaved perfectly

    AWSOME MORNING 😀

  2. 0% alcohol is difficult to achieve

Many foods produce residual amounts, as per legitimate medications. I understand if you have thrush or other yeast infections alcohol can be detected

  3. Now thankfully retired

Was a manager for big company

Had a guy who went through massive breakdown he was off for 12 months and I was told to discipline him .

Same time another chap recovering from throat cancer and was informed to do same or risk my employment.

Fortunately I found they took no action to a person in another county and different work stream who's transgender op went wrong and had a lot of time off

I did the biggest flounce to area director and HR threatened that my Union was ready for taking issue re my two lads and mysen

Got the result I wanted but somehow never hit my bonus targets fron then till my retirement.

But f**k them I maintained my soul

  4. Someone I'm my street applied for one. The council came round and measured the distance from the kerb to the house. Since it was less than 5metrers they refused the drop kerb as they said it wasn't enough room to park a car without blocking the pavement.

So long as your new drive is permeable it doesn't require planning permission so they can't stop you from building a drive, but they can refuse the drop kerb.

Don't forget that gas water telecoms etc are lain in foot way at less depth than in carriageway. If present YOU may have to protect/divert such. If for instance a fibre cable or electric mains etc it can cost thousands.

How do I know ? Until I recently retired it was my job to plan & cost such works

    :D
