Yep same everywhere, good luck with cbt , you’ll smash it , if you do have a push bike practice some balancing with some figure 8s with not much pedalling before your cbt

Thanks pal. Not a bad shout!

Thanks mate , yep I got the blue one too, looks proper nice , I have had loads of different people complement it, how much you paid for yours if you don’t mind me asking . I paid 4600 and have a trade in value of 3800 for September when the new bike arrives.

The same amount. No discount on it as it had to be ordered. I’m a new car manager so I get it. We don’t discount new builds either. Got a deal on some kit instead.

I did my cbt then bought a cb125r and now I’m booked in to do my mod1 and have already put a deposit down a a Honda 750 hornet , I only done my cbt in march , so enjoy and as others have said it will get expensive. As for the cb125r it’s a cracking little bike and can be a bit tight and snatche at first but will loosen up perfect 👍

Hey thanks for the advice. The cb125r is lovely to look at too, what colour did you go for. Mines blue, comes next month

    Good luck with the mod1

No-one told me I had to oil the chain every 300 miles and clean it every 1000.

For kit, secondhand stuff on ebay is great (except sizing can be hard). Lid must be new, though; go to decent shop and they will fit one for you.

    Thanks for the advice

Hello I'm in Eastbourne, new to motorbike world but keen as mustard, only on a 125 right now practising for test early next year

Hey I’m Hastings. Just starting out. CBT in two weeks and CB125R on order. Any tips you wish you’d been told when you were starting?

  6. Hi everyone.

I appreciate there probably a million of these posts…

I’m brand new to riding at the ripe old age of 40…not any kind of mid life crisis

I’m doing my CBT on the 9th of next month and picking up my new Honda CB125R ten days later.

Just wondered if anyone had an tips for me… you know, ones they wish they’d been told when they first started.

Also I need all the gear to go with it so if anyone has any really good suggestions that won’t further break the bank for shoes, jackets, helmets etc I’d really appreciate it.

    Anyway thanks in advance.

    David
