  1. Cheers Simon - i'm glad you're back from your holidays!!! Cheeky cow aren't I??!
  2. I know I've asked this before, but have lost the info on my old laptop! Can anyone tell me where I can find a side stand to fit my 06 plate YBR? I seem to remember a universal side stand that comes in 3 different sizes & I have Googed this, but the fixing doesn't look like it would work on the bracket on my bike Can't seem to find one that will fit! Also, if I fit one I'm assuming it won't be wired up to a cut-out switch. Would the bike then fail the MOT?

  4. Well done, thats great!!
  5. Well done - great news!
  6. Might be worth considering buying a 125 for the road practise. If you buy wisely you'll probably find that you'll be able to sell it for a good price when you don't need it anymore - good 2nd hand market for 125's!
  7. Check out the cleaning instructions in the jacket first, but I would've thought so. I'd recommend a range of product called NikWax. My ex used to use them for his fishing gear and they have a product that you can use in the washing machine which will reproof your jacket etc. They also do something to put on after you've cleaned them.
  8. No probs - it was Vicki!! It looks like I've got some if not all of Friday afternoon off, so i'll be beating the M1 rush hour traffic!!
  9. Hope it all goes ok - I'm sure you'll be fine!

  12. well done!! £450 for as long as it takes to pass your test sounds a pretty good deal to me - including test fee?????
  13. That's a bit of a tricky one to answer really. It would depend on how old the bike is and in what condition, not just the mileage I'm afraid. You could always try looking for similar bikes - same age/mileage on something like AutoTrader as a comparison

  15. Congratulations!!!
  16. That's good news! But when you get yours back, make sure you have some form of written evidence of when the repairs were done. It may happen again another 3 months down the line and your original receipt will then be 6 months old!
  17. Well done & thanks for the helpful information
  18. Please be aware that by taking the restrictor off, you are breaking the law and will invalidate your insurance! true. but if you crash into a guy and its your fault in my opinion you sorta deserve it becuase it seems that one little crashes and everyone on a bike is a maniac O.O but yeh. as susie says if they do check your bike over you can be in trouble Not really sure what you're getting at Hurtank - assuming you're saying that anyone who has a crash only has themselves to blame????? But that's immaterial and not the point I was making. Derestricting a bike when you're not legally permitted to do so is breaking the law. If you do derestrict any bike and have an accident then the insurance company will not pay out - either to you or the 3rd party involved. In effect you will not have valid insurance and risk fine/points/prosecution!
