well seen as though i need a new rear tyre and dont see the point buying one till next year the bike has gone off the road for its winter service 8-)


rode it to my lock up today looking something like this!!

and walked out about 2 hours later leaving my bike looking like this!!!!

will keep an update on the progress 8-)


but got other jobs to tend to like Vicki's RS that is still sat on the trailor :oops:

engine has to come out yet and swingarm off forks stripped and rebuilt :) you get the idea :lol:

you will need lots of popcorn and drink as this is going to take me till march to get back together again :shock:


still undicided if the engine is going away for some little tweaking :mrgreen:

What kind of little tweaks are we thinking of?


I was ogling a blue & white (now there's a surprise!) TL R last Saturday! Verrrrrrry nice, she was!

no its easier to move out the way on the trailer :lol: :lol:


its comming off shortly i was just removing the fairing off mine plus loads of other parts :lol: :lol:

talking of a service did you want yours doing ? :? still trying to find a manual for yours to see how big a service it is and not getting much luck!!

Nah not this time cheers will get them to do it, but will try sort some manuals and stuff ready for next year be warned :lol:

removed forks today along with the wheels and the swing arm so its officially in bits :lol: :lol:


upon checking the swing arm bearings one of them was slightly seized so will have to order some new ones will post pics when i get some!!


still undecided if i should strip the forks and re valve and re spring them my self or send them away its just as cheap to send them off and me not have the hassle :?

thats what im thinking its going to cost probably £25 ish more for someone else to do them which is fook all


but on the other hand i like playing :lol: :lol:


but they have all the right tools rather me having to fab some up :?

In the second pic how big does the rear wheel look!

swing arm bearings removed today


and new ones bought aswell as new bushes as the....well just look at the pics :lol:


you can see how badly pitted the left bush is on the compared to the right hand side bush which is nice and shiney :?

oh and thought i would show you my home made swing arm lock nut removal tool :lol:


cost to buy £30 cost to make an old socket 4 peices of spare steel and 2 mins with the welder about 2p :lol:

forgot to mention the new bushes and bearings cost me £43 from a bearing speacilist miles better quality then suzuki and suzuki bearings where £40 so i never bothered to price the bushes up :shock:
