Guest Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I agree Bogof, not all is as it seems, items on sale could be "altered" to obtain a better sale/price.. hopefully a well researched purchase would give the buyer enough pointers to find an original than a duff.. but yes an unsuspecting buyer could be duped by a unscrupulous seller.... I got it from a local shop, I'd rather keep the money locally, and I would never mail order a helmet. 1. Can't try it on 2. Might get dropped in transit. Quote
blakeatron Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 But it has to be delivered to the shop somehow... Quote
asharin Posted October 17, 2009 Author Posted October 17, 2009 Your point?I still can't check the helmet fits or check for defects via mail order.. Quote
asharin Posted October 17, 2009 Author Posted October 17, 2009 incidentally, i just realised I posted this in pitstop rather than Clothing, Luggage and Accessories, if a mod could move please Quote
Voodoo Posted October 18, 2009 Posted October 18, 2009 Your point?I still can't check the helmet fits or check for defects via mail order.. You could try it on in the shop first, find out the size and then order it mail order, and as Blakeatron says it could have been dropped before it reaches the shop shelves. As for defects, well you can return faulty products. I do agree though that sometimes its just easier and more convienent going to your local shop. Quote
