Yes good luck with it fella, and do stick around - it'd be nice to hear about your journey.

I've just been Googling about and found out that John o' Groats is so called because of a Dutchman named Jan de Groot who acquired funding for a ferry terminal to be built for ferries to go between the mainland and Orkney. This happened around 1496 during the reign of James IV as his father, James IIV acquired the islands from the Norwegians in 1472 as a replacement for a failed Dowry payment for his wife, Margaret of Denmark. How's that for a bit of history then :D

I've read about your trip in the Macc Express and the first thing I thought was, why on earth have you chosen the middle of winter to do it?

Anyway, good luck and I hope you've got a warm jacket!

Good luck for the start tomorrow, which is coincidently one year to the day that I stopped smoking :)

I was thinking of popping up to Liverpool on Day 10 and tagging along for the final bit.

But the weather forecast says it'll be a bit nippy.

Best stay at home on the 360 with COD6 then .............

But Good Luck to the plucky fella. :)

It looks like Rob is having a hell of a time up in Scotland. His bike has broken down and he is carring on on foot getting lifts and catching Buses.

Have we got any Scottish members that could lend a supporting hand.
