what should i check to get this working again. I did drop the bike on monday so it is prob due to this but i don't know where to start.

Hi, have a look around the rear brake pedal and check the linkage from the pedal to the brake switch, the switch is normally connected to the pedal via a spring. You might have popped the spring off the switch, or alternatively dislodge or broken an electrical connection to the switch during your mishap.

Hope this helps

have a look at the rear brake pedal, they will be a small spring attached to a switch, this needs either altering or replacing... oh and its probably tucked inside behind the heelplate/underneath..

You can test the switch by just pulling down on the bottom of it (where the spring goes on). You may find a height adjustment on the switch mount so if pulling the spring works just adjust the switch up a bit.

also your bike may have 2 bulbs one for front brake and one for back or just simply the bulb or fuse has gone try testing with a torch battery a bulb you know that works and wires then the suspect bulb and fuse not forgetting that these bulbs usulally have two circits one will be the normal light and on the brake light if both ok it wil be a matter of adjusitng or replacing the brake switch on the spring normally only 2 wires
