Need ideas of what to check my brake light is not coming on when i use the front brake but does when when i use the back. any help is good help while i'm posting as well what should the air pressure be in my tyres ? Its a ZXR 400 i'm rubbish with this kind of stuff

Problem solved with the help of a wiring diagram dodgy connection that ran to the ignition barral so have bought a new one for nothing. Just got to re build the thing now hope i remember where it all goes....

not the kill switch no lights or anything are coming on and i have checked that. junction box could be on option

Tried that didn't work so have ordered a new ignition barrel just so it can be totally elimited after that think i may have to get somebody to look at it for me

No it won't hot wire have also checked the earth wire and main fuse n its not any of them

Right guys maybe i should take this as a sign but i picked up my new bike n it was fine after stoping n starting a couple of times i went bak to start it again and in turning the ingition nothing no lights or anything else ! so far have checked the battery and that is givin 12 volts outs checked the fuses they are also fine. tried to hot wire the bike so its not the ingition barrel. cleaned all the connecters that aslo hasn't helped. its a 1997 zxr400 its currently in my kitchen with most of the bits off ,petrol tank, air box, and have no other ideas of what to check any thoughts would be good. on the plus side i do now know what is underneath all the stuff i usually see !

Hi guys problems this morning. got to the end of my road and the changed down and it didn't feel right so i got off n looked. well the bit that the gear changer and footpeg attaches to has snaped. probably weakened when i fell off a few weeks back. i need to know what this bit is called so i can get a new one ?

yep my sense of direction is not the best. arrange a meeting point closer to the time

well last night i compleated my first repair job. replace the engine generator cover. It took me an hour n 20 mins to find the correct tools and take the first screw out but after that it was plain sailing. just a case of remember where everything went back. i'm dead impressed with myself tryed it out this morning n no leaks or anything. i do need to invest in some proper tools thou as this was half my problem. any recomendations as to what i should look at buying or am likely to need ?
