Si 2the Mon Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Hey guys,Just bought my first pair of motorbike boots, some Alpinestar SMX 4's and I was wondering, what sort of socks do you wear underneath your boots? thick socks to make the boot a little comfier and tighter, thin socks for better ventilation, long socks which go upto the top of the boot, or just short, normal, everyday socks? And with summer coming up, what will you be wearing? and is it worth buying some specific motorbike socks? thank you Quote
houltmac Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Personally, I wear long, thick socks. They keep me warmer and are just more comfy in the boot. I think it's the Oxford ones I have a few pairs of. Quote
Guest Posted March 23, 2010 Posted March 23, 2010 Normal socks, if its extremely cold ill wear thick ones, but as my SMx5's are sporty (so are the 4's aswell) they are already tight so its a bit too tight for me, hence only if its extremely cold.. (sometimes ill just put an extra pair on lol) Quote
alan29 Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 Walking socks. I generally avoid bike specific stuff - except for safety gear of course. It is for the benefit of the ambulance man (as my old Mum used to say.) Quote
Ratser Posted March 24, 2010 Posted March 24, 2010 I wear normal socks when it is a decent day. When it starts getting cold I wear walking socks. Quote
