The Kriega US10/US20s would work if you want it to go on the passenger seat, not so sure about the plastic tail though; there's probably enough strap to get around it but am not sure if you'd want to go that route. They're waterproof, rugged, simple and come with a 10 year guarantee.

most will fit your GL, but youd need to bungee them to the seat securely,

Oford First range is pretty good, I have used one of their tailpacks for about 4 years or so now with no problems at all. Will fit pretty much any bike as well.

+1 for Kriega.

I bought the US-40. Basically 1xUS-20 and 2xUS-10, so you can use either a 10L, 20L, 30L or 40L tail pack. I have been using it for 6 month and would buy it again.

I picked up a Buffalo one from J&S yesterday that was £39.99 and comes with a load of bungees, helmet bag and soft cloth for underneath it.

Will post a pic of it on when I pack it all up for the IOM this coming weekend.

I've been looking for a cheaper than full hard-case luggage solution, but I've got a bike with a high exhaust. How do panniers like this not get melted?
