Fulhamatt Posted May 24, 2010 Posted May 24, 2010 Hey, picked up a Berghaus wicking top earlier, it's long sleeved and has wicking sections down both arms, and both sides of the back and ribs, also has thumb loops to prevent the sleeves riding up.Went out for about a 65 mile ride out earlier and must say, having really been struggling in much lesser heat, I was basically dry when I got in.By basically dry, I mean, my leg thermals let me down a bit, but I only wear them to stop my leathers sticking - Anyone know a decent bottom base layer so I can stay completely sweat free?Bought the wicking top from Blacks and it was £34.99 if anyone else is looking for a decent base layer.ALSO!!! - They're doing buy one get one free on neck tube/balaclava/face mask type thingys aswell. £15 I think Quote
nman1 Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 I`ve just brought a "Revit Excellerator" one piece under suit. Not sure if they just do the bottoms but hell it is good. Keeps sweat of the body and cool while riding. Quote
Fulhamatt Posted May 25, 2010 Author Posted May 25, 2010 Sounds good to me, mate. Where did you get it from? Quote
nman1 Posted May 25, 2010 Posted May 25, 2010 Soory mate, I`ve thrown away the paper work. Just google it and get the best price you can. It was over tinternet. Quote
Scorpion Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 How much are they?my base layers are SO hot when riding Quote
2fast2soon Posted May 29, 2010 Posted May 29, 2010 I've just got myself the Motrax ProSkins all in one suit. It worked a treat last sunday when I was on the i2i machine control course. Kept me at a nice temperature even when off the bike and stood about in the sun - my head was sweating profusely but the rest of my body felt good but not damp. They're £60 plus about a fiver for shipping if my memory serves me right from rocketclothing.co.uk. Nman1's looks a bit better with the red bits and has the foot loops to keep it in place when putting your leathers on but the ProSkin is a compression fit so doesn't move all that much when getting in/out of my leathers. They do pants separate as well, they come in summer and winter versions and are only £25. nman1 Posted June 1, 2010 Posted June 1, 2010 How much are they?my base layers are SO hot when riding £72 mate. These too are a compression fit and do not move while donning and getting out of leathers. Quote
Fulhamatt Posted June 7, 2010 Author Posted June 7, 2010 Hmmm, I think I might invest in an all in one... I think i've been sold by some of these replies!! Quote
Petarded Posted June 7, 2010 Posted June 7, 2010 I have some skiing base layers by Patagonia. They're really good at wicking away the moisture top and bottoms. http://www.chevintrek.co.uk/patagonia-m ... -542-p.asp Quote
