mackemforever Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 Quite a simple question but just wanted to see if anybody here could help.Do you know of any companies which produce mounts for TomTom satnavs that aren't the motorbike one.I have this lying around for my car, http://www.tomtom.com/products/product.php?ID=473&Category=0&Lid=4, and wanted to find out if it would be possible to buy a mount to use it on my bike, as I have the worlds worst sense of direction and in past week have got completely lost 4 times.Thanks. Commanda Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 I use the SO EASY RIDER v3 mount with an old car Tom Tom sat nav and I can genuinely say it's brilliant. It fits to my bars in seconds using velcro straps on either side of the bag, and I don't even bother using the waterproof outer bag as it's already behind a screen and the inner bag is waterproof enough already. If you wind up wanting one, I would shop around for it though as the price seems to vary from £35 to £50-ish. I got mine from BuyBits and it arrived within 3 days. Quote
Guest philgale Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 im gonna be doing the same thing, sod buying a tomtom rider for 300 notes when you can get a good garmin for 80 quid and thishttp://cgi.ebay.co.uk/WATERPROOF-CASE-R ... 1c1172c559 Quote

j4ff Posted June 4, 2010 Posted June 4, 2010 ive bought one of these from HG.Needs abit of tailoring to fit as the straps arent long enough to go around my yoke so ive used shoe laces another bogie is i cant get to my key Used the foam inside to make a mount to raise it.Job done Quote
Coume Posted June 6, 2010 Posted June 6, 2010 I use the SO EASY RIDER v3 mount Same here. I bought the kit which included an external battery and slim speakers. I installed the speakers inside my HJC HQ-1 under the removable linings of the helmet so you can't see them (a semi permanent install, I would say) and it works perfectly Quote
