Lumor_uk Posted June 15, 2010 Author Posted June 15, 2010 I'm more nervous about the bike breaking down than me failing but hey ho thanks. Quote
dieliekdawg Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Good luck mate, fingers crossed for you. I've got mine on Thursday, weather's looking good at least.... Quote
Guest Posted June 15, 2010 Posted June 15, 2010 Good luck fella just did mine last sat no riding faults, but if your instructors are anything like mine they have made all you practices far harder and not told you LOADS of room for figure of 8 and he practically jogged the slow in a straight line thing lol Quote
Lumor_uk Posted June 16, 2010 Author Posted June 16, 2010 Bloody cancelled some idiot, well not their fault as there are no signs forbidding it, had parked bang smack in the middle of the course. 20 odd people had their test cancelled. Had to get a compensation form, feel sorry for the people on their 500's though as they had to hire the bike and instructor. Some also had their mod 2 booked for next week.apparently Silverstone has a permanent test course? I might go there if that's the case rather than risk it being cancelled again. Quote
cypek Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 (...) some idiot, (...) had parked bang smack in the middle of the course(...) Sorry to hear that... Quote
spafe2302 Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 That sucks a bit, you re-booked it I guess? ( and so the waiting begins again)on the plus side it does mean you can work out any last kinks in your bike now Quote
Lumor_uk Posted June 16, 2010 Author Posted June 16, 2010 Kinks...it needs scrapping! Broke down on the way opened it up oil filled fly wheel again...better order some new seals. Quote
Mightycaz Posted June 16, 2010 Posted June 16, 2010 I don't understand why the DVLA did'nt just tow the car? Is it just done on a random car park?Unlucky mate, had one cancelled coz of the ice. Sucks coz you gott have the nerves again......Good luck for next time. Quote
Lumor_uk Posted June 16, 2010 Author Posted June 16, 2010 Well its the dsa that does the testing. The dvla will only touch it if its untaxed which it was. Was on the oxford football stadium car park. One of the instructors got a jack but i had to show him how to use it. But wasn't going to show him where to put it as i didn't want anything to do with damaging someone's car. Apparently they're building permanent sites at newbury and banbury. Hopefully i will have passed before they're finished. Quote
dieliekdawg Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 That sucks mate. Any idea how quickly you can reschedule it? Maybe look for cancellations at another centre? Quote
lingy3 Posted June 17, 2010 Posted June 17, 2010 New one on me.Thought tests were in mptc centres now Then again nothing would suprise me with DSA. Quote
