mealexme Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 (edited) my clutch (on my scoot) is buggered. garrage cant look at it for another few days. Sinse the clutch is already screwed, it doesnt matter if i do any more dammage to it, but will i do any damage to anything else if i keep riding it? Edited July 1, 2010 by mealexme Quote
supersapien Posted June 29, 2010 Posted June 29, 2010 well "screwed" has more levels than people think. it might be reversable so you might not wanna screw it more.i'm not 100% sure, but i'd imagine that, yes, you could screw up other things. as i said, depends what part of ya clutch is a problem,it might screw up other parts. IF the entire clutch assembly needs replacing, then i'd say go for it screw away Quote
mealexme Posted June 30, 2010 Author Posted June 30, 2010 okay, thanks will try and ride steadily then. not riding it far Quote
Bertie Posted June 30, 2010 Posted June 30, 2010 will knacker the clutch bell too if you ride it with a worn clutch Quote
mealexme Posted July 1, 2010 Author Posted July 1, 2010 before i took it to the garrage, i looked at prices for clutches. about £30. went down garrage and they say its knackered clutch, belt, something and something else.. anyway, all adds up to £200!... GREAT!only have just under £400 and sill saving for a 125cc... looks like that aint gunna happen for a good while now :'( Quote
Bertie Posted July 1, 2010 Posted July 1, 2010 find out the problems and fix it yourself. 50cc mopeds are the easiest things in the world to work on! Quote
