Guest Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 Went riding out today and the bike started smoking from the exhaust, smelt like oil so i changed the oil, the old oil was black. fired the bike back up and it was still smoking, so looks like its gotta go to the dealer, really pissed off now, the bikes only done 2,800 miles Quote
Guest Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 zzr 1400 smoking You tried nicotine patches?Seriously though, surely it is under warranty? Quote
Guest Posted July 17, 2010 Posted July 17, 2010 its under warranty, so it shouldnt be a problem Quote
Chrissb6 Posted December 22, 2010 Posted December 22, 2010 What colour the smoke? If its cold, as its been for days/weeks now, there'll be loads of condence / white smoke to come out of the exhaust, as well as the hot exhaust gases hitting the cold air creating steam. Unless you get upto full temp and run at speed there'll be some smoke from the exhaust. Blue smoke and smelling of oil, agree it's back to the shop. With that, I would not of change the oil. Highly unlikly that there's a prob with the bike. Quote

Guest Posted December 23, 2010 Posted December 23, 2010 That's rough Matt. Hope all the material damage is covered and your recovery is a speedy one.Instead of keeping kids off bikes they should stop them having saxos (and the like) Quote
