Stuno1 Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Hey peeps,I have my CBT and lessons soon so wont be able to not go out if it is raining. I was wondering if leathers get ruined by the rain?To be honest if it is raining i will just wear the schools wet gear but it is good to know if my leathers will be ruined if they do get wet.CheersStu Quote
guybandit Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 Ive got mine soaked quite a few times, long time to dry but no damage what so ever. You can get an waterproof oversuit for a few pounds though saves the messing around.Guy Quote

Ingah Posted January 16, 2011 Posted January 16, 2011 I was wondering if leathers get ruined by the rain? I don't believe they do. I suppose if you never clean or use any of that leather moisturiser on them it'll finish them off sooner (we're talking less years of usage though - you'll probably shred or damage them some other way before they wear out naturally), but i certainly wouldn't avoid going out in the rain in leathers if it's all i had for the rain (the main reason i wouldn't use leathers in the rain, is because the zips etc, especially in the cheaper ones i tend to use, aren't properly waterproof!) bullet5 Posted January 17, 2011 Posted January 17, 2011 All time and meaning come to a end!!! but on a serious note get them waterproof and protected asap. ive got my leather jacket hung up in the kitchen as its still soaked from my 4 hour drive through bucketloads of rain on saturday! normaly they will dry off pretty fast as long as it is only a <20 minute trip.
