dingosteve Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 What im getting at, is my instructor says you'll be amazed at what more you need to know to pass mod2. Well i dunno how much more i need to know cos , i plan every approach, position myself corrrectly never miss headchecks or leave indicators on, never afraid to get up to speed. I know the roads after 20 years riding, i can pretty much spot hazards developing. If i cana do this mod2 after 10 hours tuition on the road il be beside myself in shame! Apart from been on 125cc for 3 months on road it should be just another ride out in my mindSo just what else can there be? Quote
Guest Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 i don't know as I never did this test, but good luck! When is it? Quote
dingosteve Posted February 23, 2011 Author Posted February 23, 2011 trying to get 18 march as it best time for me between 10-12 plus 2 hour lesson before hand. I do feel its insane the amount of examination there is for bike riders, its practically constructively discouraging people from owning bikes IMHO, i would love to see stats to see if accidents actually went down as of introduction of all the tests for motorcyclists.I think what would of been better would be for drivers to do a CBT course, im dam sure im a much better driver for it. haz_pro Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Wierd, thought i replied to this...any way...You dont need to "know" anything extra. You just need to ride safely, or atleast thats what my instructor said. So for example remember life savers, use indicators correctly, road positioning, getting up to speed etc.Just treat the tester as a sat nav (except for the independant bit) and ride as safely as possible.Good luck, sure your be fine. Yes, I agree with this...You seem to have got it covered - (I failed mine a few times because I tried to ride as I thought they wanted) Just ride your usual natural way... important to keep your distances safe, don't cause probs for yourself or any other road users and enjoy going for a nice positive ride. Also if you do think you have made a small error....it probably hasnt failed you..could be a pass with just a minor so dont worry about it just carry on enjoying the ride outGood luck Quote
haz_pro Posted February 23, 2011 Posted February 23, 2011 Forgot to mention that, if you think you have a made a mistake, try to forget it, if you dwindle on it during the ride it will just make things worse!Remember they are not looking for a perfect rider, just a safe one. At the end of the day the bike license is just a license to carry on learning IMO. Quote
