Snakeskin74 Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Took my MOD 1 this morning, and failed on the swerve. I have been having problems with this from the start of my training, but I had sort of got my head round it in practice, however on the test I done something that I had never done before. I came through the serve and hit my back break hard, I had never done this before, but nerves got the better of me, I had the bike side ways like a speed way rider. I didn't put my foot down and I controlled it well, then carried on into the box and stopped perfectly. All of the other stuff I did perfectly. What a shame Quote

iiisecondcreep Posted April 10, 2011 Posted April 10, 2011 Bad luck, this is how I failed my mod 1 (3 times!) also, and similair to you the first time I had ever done it was on my very final practice days before the test after months of training and never having done it before! When I finally passed I made a conscious effort not to use the back break at all, and it worked!Good luck for next time! Snakeskin74 Posted April 10, 2011 Author Posted April 10, 2011 I was cheered up a little, when both my instructor and examiner said, they had never seen any pupil get a bike that sideways without falling off. Quote
