Guest Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 I have just bought an old GL 1100 as a long term project, and after getting over the shock of the price of spares, I have been trawling the net for info, mainly from U.S. forums. A lot of them mention a product called Seafoam, which if added to fuel, will clean the fuel system, and you can also add it to the oil, to clean the oil, get rid of carbon build up, and all sorts of things. My question is this, have any of you used this product and if so what is the verdict? If a man says something whilst walking in the woods, and there isn't a women within 100 miles, is he still wrong? megawatt Posted May 9, 2011 Posted May 9, 2011 Heard of it, never used it and a mates bike got some put in it in the States and it didn't work. Personally , I wouldn't use it Quote
Colin the Bear Posted May 13, 2011 Posted May 13, 2011 Good old RedX is the best petrol treatment. Tried and tested. As far as cleaning the oil If it's dirty, chage it Quote
