Guest Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Go see Mark! He'll help ya....Wheel bearings, headstock, brake caliper........ Quote
Stu Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 could be the head bearings if it is they might just need nipping up and if they need replacing maybe around £30 for the bearings plus fitting Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 sounds like headrace bearings they can be adjusted unless you have been wheelying everywhere in which case they might need replacing Quote
Tango Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Could be headstock bearing loose. Not sure about your bike, but they are adjustable on some bikes.Have you got a centre stand? If so get the bike onto it and jack the front so it lifts the front wheel off the ground. Then gently push and pull the bottom of the fork legs backwards and forwards. If you can feel a slight knock it'll most likely be the head bearings. Quote

Guest Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Depends how bad it is!!Pop down a Bike testing MOT staion, ask him to have wiggle. Quote
Tango Posted July 21, 2011 Posted July 21, 2011 Just check you haven't got a loose caliper or that. If it is the head bearing and the knock is not too bad you could be OK. But check all other possibilities first. And book it in sooner rather than later... Quote
