Lumor_uk Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 What's the deal with it, does the air suction valve filter need changing eventually. As far as I can see it connects to the carb on top and number 14 on this image on the bottom it's connected to nothing. Is that condensation escape or something? The filter is number 6.http://www.hondaoriginalparts.com/hpl/images/13KRH3E1/imge/F__1601.jpg Quote
Tango Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 Sorry lumor....but I really can't see what we are looking at here. What is this complete mechanism? I guess all filters have the potential to block up because that is what they are there for.....ie to remove particles from whatever is flowing through them. Eventually they can clog...so you either replace or clean them. Is this part of the fuel circuit?Probably need a bit more of a description to help you out here.Cheers,Bob Quote
Lumor_uk Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 it sits in front of the fuel tank. Seems to suck air in or out of the fuel tank to the carb outlet just before it enters the engine. Didn't have it on the older bikes. Must be to do with emissions but how does it work. What is it doing. Sucking excess fuel back into the tank? Seems all air related. Quote
Stu Posted August 4, 2011 Posted August 4, 2011 its probably some sort of breather and that filter type thing is a charcoal filter never need to touch it Quote
Lumor_uk Posted August 4, 2011 Author Posted August 4, 2011 carbon filter like on cars? But how would you know if it was blocked and causing problems? The suction pump is £85!! This is hypothetical. I don't believe i have anything wrong with my bike. Quote
