DeeJ Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 I've started making progress on my trackbike. The airbox was totally worn so replaced it with individual filters. The standard main jet size #110.What should I upjet to? Quote
Tango Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Run it and see what colour the plugs are before doing anything I'd suggest.........May not need rejetting or maybe only a very small increase in jet size. Quote

It needs rejetting, my mate took it out and it justs bogs down. I overtook it on my 125. Quote
Stu Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 dont quote me but im sure pod filters are a right twat to set up im sure others will know more Quote
Tango Posted September 27, 2011 Posted September 27, 2011 Did you take plugs out and check the colour? If it's running that weak you may need to up them to 115 or 120....possibly higher but it could be a bit of trial and error..... Quote

Plugs are more or less white. We did a run up to 60mph and hit the kill switch and checked.I'm going to try 125 and work my way down from there Quote
Ingah Posted September 28, 2011 Posted September 28, 2011 Thing is, if it's running lean (sounds very much like it is) and you only change the main jets, then you're only sorting out the problem at medium to high throttle openings. Id've thought you'd also need to use a bigger pilot/idle jet too, so that when you shut the throttle/use only a little throttle at higher speeds you're not going to kill it. Quote

It's going to be a trackbike, so it will only ever be below 6k in the pitlane. But I will up them next summer when it's put on the dyno Quote
