keith565 Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 had a leak in right side(as u sit on bike) fork. had massive problems getting old seal out then could not get stantion out at all. seems something has moved/warped or whatever and we are stuck. even took it to the garage and they could not get it out. so looks like i need a replacement fork. have posted in wanted section. Theboyparker Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 I had the same issue but about half hour of yanking it came loose. It might be just a case of keep trying.I got to redo mine as for some reason the seals didn't seal correctly and there both leaking. Dodgy seals we think. Quote
keith565 Posted November 18, 2011 Author Posted November 18, 2011 we have been on since 2pm yesterday. took about an hour to get fork off as every bolt/screw was seized.we have tried again this morning, but it still wont budge. think it will be easier to replace the fork. Quote
eastanglianbiker Posted November 18, 2011 Posted November 18, 2011 if you have got the big allen bolt out at the bottom then it should slide up and out unless the bush inside has collapsed which would show up as sideways movement on the fork leg when assembled. just thinking it hasnt got anti dive unit at the base ofthe fork has it that might need unbolting off the side of the fork leg to allow it to be removed Quote

Just stuck solid. Looking at a new fork from David silver but it is an 01. Does anyone know if the are the same as the 02. Quote
