trip to spain

Every year I go to Spain for about five days at the end of April beginning of May, sun and drinking (we fly). This year I propose to bike there and meet them. Any one fancy a trip? I have no preference to route there or back or length of time away, hotel stays only.

My mum lives down in Malaga and I intend to head down that way at some point, could be interested so will keep an eye on this thread.

I spent a year cycling around Spain, Barcelona - a fantastic experience. I have cycled from Barcelona Airport into the city several times

You could hire a bungalow on the campsite and leave the bikes inside while visiting the city, although I am sure the site will be able to lock the bikes up in some sort of storage facility.

Bikes in trains:

It's free of charge but there are limitations (more strict this year). In regional trains, for short distances, you can take your bike in the train, no problem. For longer distances only up to 3 bikes are admitted, and you have to get an authorisation and a ticket for the bike (remember, free of charge).

Foldable bikes are an exception and you can carry them with you in the train but they have to be fold before entering the train.

 

Wrong type of bike mate. These ones have engines.
