I think a lot of people get over looked in those honours lists.

I mean what about Murray Walker???? poor old boy, he's 80 now. Motor Racing still isn't quite the same without him. I spent my youth watching Touring cars, Motorbikes, Forumla 1/3 all commentated on by Murray Walker.

John Surtees though, what a man, back when racing was without seatbelts, without rollcages, scary stuff.

Well that’s all you need to get someone with the same name knighted then!! Either that or maybe he should be knighted just for going to Ibiza.

I suspect not but what he doesnt know about bikes he makes up for in gambling!

I've met him at Brands Hatch and he was on a bike on the track. He can still ride a bike bloody fast . Nice bloke. I'd call him sir.

I met him at last years Post TT at Mallory.

A real gentleman and it would now I suspect be near enough impossible to do what he did.

Even Mike Hailwood couldn't manage it.

Went last year with my mates TZR350 that he used to race in the British Chapionship in the 70's.

Got my Vote and signed the petition, deserves to be a Sir, 350cc World Champion x 3, 500cc World Champion x 4 & F1 World Champion, wouldn't happen now.

he is the best ever. nobody else has done 2 and 4 wheels and they would not beable to do it into days racing 8) 8)
