Throttled Posted January 12, 2012 Posted January 12, 2012 Thanks Gayle, but damn, I am working that weekend. Request for time off on the Sunday coming up. Quote
Ratser Posted January 13, 2012 Posted January 13, 2012 Will be there on the Saturday, along with Revs (most likely).Doubt will be on the bike, as there are a few things I want to get. Quote

archiec Posted January 28, 2012 Posted January 28, 2012 My birthday that weekend might have to buy myself something... Quote
iiisecondcreep Posted January 29, 2012 Author Posted January 29, 2012 We've been to the last two, last year wasn't very good but the year before was much better so hopefully this year will be good again! Will probably go both days Remember to order your tickets in advance peeps- cheaper than buying them on the door and less queueing to get in! Quote
Tuiroo Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I think I might just have to trundle along. Have not been before. Is it better on Sat or Sun or does it not matter either way?Cheers Quote
Ratser Posted February 4, 2012 Posted February 4, 2012 I think I might just have to trundle along. Have not been before. Is it better on Sat or Sun or does it not matter either way?Cheers Doesn't really matter mate. Some people think if you go on teh last day you will get more bargains, but to be honest I have never found that to be the case.I imagine with George White's going down the tubes there will be a big empty area in the clothing section too. Nell Posted March 4, 2012 Posted March 4, 2012 Resurrecting the thread lol. Me and Chic will be there on the Sunday, if anyone would like to meet up Quote
iiisecondcreep Posted March 4, 2012 Author Posted March 4, 2012 Tickets arrived the other day, not sure what day we'll be there on though. Quote
Ratser Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 We are going Saturday, and hopefully on the bikes too. Quote
gordon276 Posted March 5, 2012 Posted March 5, 2012 going on the sat to and on the bike only cause i am tight and dont want to pay 4 quid to park Quote
iiisecondcreep Posted March 10, 2012 Author Posted March 10, 2012 Got there about ten, left about 1pm. Show was smaller again this year, range of clothing seemed limited, didn't really seem like there were many bargains to be had. There was some custom bikes but not the same big custom bike show they had previously. Hope others had a better day than we did! Quote
Silverspring Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Resurrecting the thread lol. Me and Chic will be there on the Sunday, if anyone would like to meet up I'll be there, will try and remember to pm you my mobile number in the morning! Quote
gordon276 Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 well what can i say about the bike show hmmm still rekon the first one was the best and is yet to be topped Quote
Silverspring Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 That was my first and last bike show, might try one of the bigger events down south but I'm not going back to the Scottish one. There was very little to see and do other than sit on bikes. BMW and MV Augusta were not there and KTM had bikes out that you needed permission to touch. The second hall was a little like a car boots sale with boys playing on bikes in the corner (not that I could see anything for the crowd, they had no platform area etc) and the third hall was full of classic bikes and other anomalies. If it hadn't been for my mates banter I would have left after about 45 minutes. The highlight of the day was getting a seat on the new Panigale couldn't get my feet down though Quote
Nell Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Sorry i missed you Silver, was unable to find you I found the show ok, I got the jeans I wanted, and Dave got his leathers and boots. As I was only after clothing, the bikes weren't really of interest, though the little 250 suzuki was cute. Don't think I'll bother next year either, unless I particularly require anything. Quote
Throttled Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 There was only a Suzuki dealer there last year, was there an official stand this year? Quote
Nell Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Dealer I think. Was the guy who runs the Dumfries Suzuki branch. Quote
iiisecondcreep Posted March 11, 2012 Author Posted March 11, 2012 It wa an official Suzuki stand, some staff from Saltire in Edinburgh where there as well. And you were even allowed to sit on the suzukis this time!!! Quote
silent ninja Posted March 11, 2012 Posted March 11, 2012 Dealer I think. Was the guy who runs the Dumfries Suzuki branch. bet he didnt sell much then Quote
