So I was warned about issues with the cam chain tensioner issues with this bike before I bought it, not that the warning meant much to me but I was told to listen out for the a rattle when it was idling. So I think I can hear that rattle and over the past few weeks it seems to be getting worse! I made this short video of it, worth a trip to the mechanic? (I don't plan on trying to fix it myself, I wouldn't want to risk breaking a nail :booty: )

Agree with Steve. Something is rattling that shouldn't be rattling.

Well, it's got a mechanical warranty so I'm taking it back to the dealer I bought it from! Plus it's a really fun road up to the garage

Just be carefull.....you don't want to total the engine if you get a bit carried away....

alot of fazers suffer with this, thrashing the bollocks off it in low gears (yes right to the redline/limiter) usually solves it

Personally i prefer the old fashioned method of replacing the cam chain tensioner.

Thanks for all the replies :D I'm taking her to the dealer on Saturday, apparently the saleman said rattle and CBR600F in the same sentence and the mechanic was like 'Cam chain' notorious or what?! Didn't even get into whether it was covered by the warrenty but fingers crossed, they have been really good up til now.
