gary4286 Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 hi i brought an aftermarket arrow exaust for my 92 cbr with the intention of making it louder as stock exhaust cant be heard when cutting through traffic. biut when i recived it it turns out its a mile steal exhaust with stainless case so pretty much sounds exactly the same. and ideas of improving the sound? eastanglianbiker Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 check around it and see if it has got removable baffle or look into the end of the can if you can see a big plate across the exit then drill some holes in it Quote
gary4286 Posted June 5, 2012 Author Posted June 5, 2012 yeah thought about holes but will this fail mot? Quote
mattycoops43 Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 Not as long as you don't get carried away. Just start small, and see what it sounds like! Quote
T3D Posted June 5, 2012 Posted June 5, 2012 check around it and see if it has got removable baffle or look into the end of the can if you can see a big plate across the exit then drill some holes in it I did this on my GS ill try and get a pic and a sound clip up. Sounds so much more aggressive and I put it through mot last month, inspector had the same bike and commented on how it sounded nice but still looked stock. Didn't tell him that I had up jetted the carbs and fitted 2 pod air filters so in comparison with other 500s it is a flyer. Tony Quote
