Guest Posted August 24, 2012 Posted August 24, 2012 Got my full bike licence (woop!)After a new lid... Want it to have the ability or already have a Coms unit in it... i've seen the X-lite 1002 but i think you have to get the mic and wiring etc seperately?? Hopefully someone can help me.. Has to be XXL due to my massive 63cm head... Would be a benefit if it had bluetooth or the space for a pod to go into it...Thanks guys!!! Quote
Colin the Bear Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 You need to concentrate on traffic and learn your road craft before becoming a mobile DJ and accessing facebook on the move. The helmet is to protect your head. It's not an app store. If the helmet has any space for gadgets in it, then it doesn't fit properly imo Quote
Englishman Posted August 25, 2012 Posted August 25, 2012 I've got a Duchinni flip-front with built in bluetooth and speakers/mic. I got it from J and S in Oakmere, but it's on their website. £150 or so. Fits larger than the regular L too, so it should go on your ginormous noggin in XL. Quote
Guest Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 I recently got the duchinni flip front but have been told the D-Ring style strap isn't the safest?? it's got the button fasten on the end of it etc bu still from many sources heard it's not the safest... It's got the pod for the bluetooth but all i want is to be able to communicate through my pal who can just plug his headset into this tank bag with radio comms in it and be able to communicate with him :S Quote
mealexme Posted August 26, 2012 Posted August 26, 2012 Bluetooth isn't a bad thing. there are times I wish I could have coms, then instead of me wondering what the hell the biker in front of me is doing waving his arm around, he could give me an audio warning that I am about to get a face full of branch or about to hit some cow shit or a pot hole as usually he blocks my view of the road surface ahead. probably my fault for riding on his back wheel but hey ho, the point still stands Quote
mattycoops43 Posted September 17, 2012 Posted September 17, 2012 Follow the speed limits in the city and concentrate on traffic. Any model of shoei helmet will be good for you. Stop spamming with crap! You have no idea what helmet make will fit properly until you try them on. Quote
