argentum40 Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 The exhaust is blowing and i thought it had a hole in it but it turns out the clamp and gasket are missing.. been on the bay of E to find one and theres 2 different types it has the stock zorst on it including silencer so which one of these 2 would you say is the correct one ??http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STAINLESS-STE ... 257470b995orhttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/STAINLESS-STE ... 2556277b11 Quote
oslin06 Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 They look the same to me except one is black and the gaskets are slightly different I would go for the polished one myself, but only if the rest of your system is polished as well. Quote
argentum40 Posted October 28, 2012 Author Posted October 28, 2012 the gaskets look totally different to me... one looks like a solid graphite ring and the other a mesh type... when the clamp gets tightened down will the graphite one shatter?.. Quote
megawatt Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 The graphite ring ones ate usually graphite impregnated not solid. I would say they seal better than the wire mesh ones. I don,t use the mikkalor clamps as you can snap the m6 bolt. I can make you a better stainless clamp if you give me the o/d of the linkpipe? You sure the collector isn,t blowing at one of the 4 female tubes? Quote
argentum40 Posted October 28, 2012 Author Posted October 28, 2012 alan its deffo the join where the link pipe goes into the collector mate... not had a problem with mikalor clamps i must admit... the clamp goes over the collector neck where the link pipe goes into it... its a big bugger thats for sure Quote
megawatt Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 If it Doesn,t seal, gimme a shout. Bandits are known for rotting collectors. Quote
