priest Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 hi,my throttle has too much free play and is very stiff. i understand that throttle cable should be adjusted. Is there any proper guide with pictures on how to do that properly? Quote
Tango Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Really depends on your throttle cable layout mate. Does it have 2 cables? one for opening and one for closing the throttle? Do you have access to a Haynes manual?......they normally have a good description on adjusting the throttle cable(s). The adjustment will probably vary depending on whether your bike is carb or injected.....so I think you'd be best off finding out the definitive adjustments for your bike..... Quote
megawatt Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 We can sort it when you have a ride down to my place mate. Easy if you have an adjuster near the twistgrip. Should have just enough to not open throttles when bars are moved lock to lock. Quote
priest Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 cheers guys megawatt, that might speed things up though i still want to postpone it till next year, but let's see how it goes Quote
